Friday morning saw Gauri at home, in the mansion.

The perks of her new job, was the flexibility of working from home. It made her study schedule flexible too. Gauri had started very enthusiastically in the beginning of the week, but by the end she was feeling pressure. It wasn't easy to balance her daily classes with her tutor, with her open education classes on Sunday. On the whole, she was glad for the weekend, as her private tutor classes were off on the weekend.

She was overcome by feelings of gratitude for Nanaji, that he was doing so much for her, selflessly. He had no reason to take interest in her life, especially now since she was not married to Omkaraji, even in name. That Omkaraji's grandparents would have so much fondness for her, just on the basis of the few days she spent with them, was deeply touching.

Even so, Gauri was aware that she would have never met Nana or Nani, had it not been for Omkaraji, she would have never spent those days with them had it not been for Omkaraji. They might make her feel that her equation with them was independent of Omkaraji, but that was not the case.

Jahnvi Maaji's equation with Gauri was independent of Omkaraji, because for the longest time, Gauri didn't know she was his mother. But it was not so with her parents. Which is what made Gauri wonder, that why did Nanaji take so much interest in her?

Gauri felt thirsty, and saw that her jug of water was empty. She could easily call for a staff to get her stuff, but she didn't like that. She was a guest in the mansion, and moreover, she didn't like to order people about.

Gauri was walking towards the kitchen, when she heard bits of conversation of Omkaraji's room. She didn't mean to eavesdrop, but Omkaraji was talking about the painting he was working on a couple of days back.

"O, the speed with which you are churning out new works of art....I think I've never seen you so energetic, I thought that exhibition was a one time madness, but it looks like its becoming a habit" said Rudra.

"I think I had been away from my passion for so long, that now that I've finally found my inspiration back I can literally not think of anything other than art" said Omkara, dreamily.

Soumya was awed hearing her Rakhi brother's words, as she respected his passion.

"Good for you brother. I saw you working on a different painting in the start of the week, and you've already finished another one. Show us, no?" asked Rudra.

Omkara complied. Rudra looked at it from different angles, even though it was a pretty simple oil of a girl. Soumya and Omkara rolled their eyes looking at Rudra's antics.

"O, I can't figure, is she supposed to be jealous or sulking, or both, actually it could be both because girls sulk when they are jealous" said Rudra, while Soumya hit his shoulder lightly, chiding him for his stupid comment.

Soumya looked at the painting carefully. "I think this resembles someone we know....." she said.

"C'mon Sumo, you know O doesn't do portraits much. He gets 'inspired', and anyways I don't think this oil resembles any of our acquaintances" scoffed Rudra.

"Not the features Rudra, but the eyes, the expression....I think....I think this is Gauri bhaabhi...." said Soumya slowly, looking at Omkara for confirmation.

Omkara neither confirmed nor denied it, he merely gave a slight smile.

Outside, Gauri heard the description, and fumed internally. "Jealous?" she thought to herself. So, he thinks she was jealous. But she was not....she will take this up with him later, when Rudy bhaiyaa and Soumya weren't there.
