After I had lost Rebecca and an eye, I sought out new allies. I'd need them for the handicap that I had received. I still felt remorse from letting Rebecca die like she did, but I consoled myself in the fact that I did everything I could.

And I did find two new allies, their names were Violet and Luna. Violet could turn herself invisible and create barriers, and Luna could use her wand to create spells and things of that assortment.

We had decided to head into the middle to see if anyone was still there, or anything of use was there either. Us three went into the open field which was the middle of the map. It seemed as if no one else was here, but there clearly was battles that had taken place here. As we moved in closer to the center of the map, we got a chill down our spines.

"Did either of you feel that too?" Violet asked us, I nodded my head.

"Quite curious that we would feel a chill considering that the sun is out." Luna stated, she was a bit odd but seemed fine anyways.

"Wait, someone's around here." I said, and thankfully I turned around because there was someone behind us. A pink figure, the one that had rebelled against the lime green people. The Bete Noire. Violet put up a shield around us but Bete Noire's arm distended and turned into a scythe, their arm collided with the barrier and Violet cringed, Bete Noire was nothing to mess with for sure. The three of us stepped backwards as Violet let the shield disappear, Bete Noire slammed onto the ground and smiled at us deviously. The peculiar thing about her smile was that we could see a pink layer underneath her skin.

"Well are you going to run away or is this going to be an actual fight." Bete Noire taunted, standing up fully.

"We shall find out, Stupefy!" Luna shouted as a red beam of light shot out of her wand towards Bete Noire, from behind Bete Noire a pink blob jumped up and took the blast for them. Violet went invisible and Bete Noire created a pink spear in her hand a threw it at me, but before it could hit me an invisible Violet caught it and threw it back at Bete Noire. Bete Noire then created a dark pink arrow beside her arm and it collided with the spear exploding in the middle, she smiled at us.

Violet then put a shield up around us I couldn't transform in here, I'd have to wait for a minute before that could happen.

"Here, I have something that could be of use to you Violet. Fianto Duri!" Luna shouted aiming her wand at the shield the shield glowed brighter. Bete Noire narrowed her gaze at us, she then reached her hand towards the ground. Her hand then turned pink and she stabbed the ground with her hand. I then felt a disturbance under us and then pink whips from Bete Noire came flying out of the ground below us.

"Bombarda!" Luna shouted at the shield and an explosion occurred and a hole appeared in the top of the shield. Violet went invisible and both of us jumped out of the shield. Bete Noire smiled at us wickedly.

"Oh? Are you scared?" Bete Noire said to us. All of a sudden Violet reappeared right in front of us. She looked almost stunned, no she seemed scared out of her mind. Luna and I weren't affected by whatever Bete Noire was trying to do.

"Violet wake up!" Luna shouted at her, Violet didn't move at all, just stayed still staring at Bete Noire.

"That won't work, she can't hear you in her current state." Bete Noire smiled again. No, I can't let another person die on my watch.

"You want to play with us, well I've got a big secret for you." I said to her, then transforming into my dinosaur form. My body grew into my powerful form, she wouldn't last long against us now, "I don't like to play games little girl."

Before I could do anything, Bete Noire conjured a pink scythe in her arm and rushed at Violet, we had to think quickly before something happened to her.

"Finite!" Luna shouted and right before Bete Noire was about to hit Violet, she stopped right in place and gasped. Violet then ran and backed up to us, Luna patted her on the back. Bete Noire looked up at us and smiled, but this time it was more sinister.

"Alright, you three are going to learn to fear me one way or another." Bete Noire said standing up fully again, I then went to charge at her but... all of a sudden Rebecca was standing in front of me. My eyes stood transfixed on Rebecca, how was she here? I felt so remorseful that I didn't save her before. I heard faint talking before Rebecca faded away and Bete Noire was right in front of me.

"You only have one eye, you're at a great disadvantage. Let me help you with it." Bete Noire said holding her scythe in her arm. She was about to slash me and I didn't have time to react.

"CARPE RETRACTUM!" Luna screamed as loud as she could. I saw a rope fly past me and wrap onto Bete Noire, stopping her in place. The rope then pulled her behind me quickly, I turned to see Violet make a chipping motion and a Purple energy flew through the air a Bete Noire. It hit her but the blast seemed to barely hurt her at all. Bete then conjured a dark pink arrow beside her arm again. We then realized that Bete Noire was about to kill Violet, I fired my most powerful attack at her, my mouth opened and sparkling water and gems came flying out towards Bete Noire at an insane speed. But it wasn't fast enough to save Violet. The arrow flew from Bete Noire's arm and hit Violet knocking her backwards into a nearby tree. My powerful attack hit Bete Noire, the skin on her got scrapped away slightly showing the pink layer underneath.

"You don't know when to give up, do you?" Bete Noire said standing back up, Luna backed up to where I was standing, she had her wand ready.

"We could and will say the same thing to you. You don't know when to give up either." Luna retorted back to her, but something seemed off about Bete Noire's last statement. Then I looked over to see a light pink object stabbing through Luna's chest. I then slammed my tail on the bigger part of it behind her. The pink blob faded away, Luna fell to the ground, blood dripping from her wound.

"You're fighting a battle you can't win." Bete Noire said to me. She was right I couldn't beat her, I had to leave before I fell too. But Bete Noire could sense what I was thinking. She then created her pink spear and threw it at Violet, it pierced through her and into the tree behind her. A cannon fired in the distance and Violet's body faded away, I had failed again. I had told them I'd protect them and save them, for Rebecca. And now Violet too.

"Run while you still can, but mark my words. We will meet again." She said as I grabbed Luna in my arms and ran as far as I could, I at least saved Luna.

Guilt was weighing heavily on my heart.
