Jade Anderson's POV

By the end of eighth period, I thought that Alana was gonna wear a hole through the desk with her pen tapping. I don't understand why she is so excited to go to this camp. I have personally come to the conclusion that Leo is certifiably insane, and that we need to transport him to the nearest mental hospital. But that's just me. As soon as the bell rang, Alana sprang out of her chair, and pulled me out of mine.

"Come on Jade! We got to go meet this Leo kid! Hurry up! LET'S GOOOOOOO!!"

"I am not going to meet Leo. I am going home and that is the end of this story. Okay?"

"Come on it's a new place, new people, new experiences!!!! Ohhhhh wait... I forgot who I was talking too... Please come... for me?" Alana says with her best puppy dog eyes.

"You used the word new three times in that sentence, and that repulses me. BUT, I will go if, and only if, we start going on your little beach adventures at night."

"Oh fine, whatever! LET'S GO!!"

Alana started off down the hallway, and realized that I was walking to slow. She grabbed the front of my shirt, and dragged me to the front doors of the school. We see Leo leaning against the brick wall of the school, and make our way over to him.

"Alright my fellow demigods, let's get you to camp!" exclaims Leo.

"Could you stop with the demi-who's? You make no sense whatsoever."

"Listen, Jade, and repeat after me. Demi... Gods... Demigods. It's not that hard."

"Can we go to this camp already?!?! That water fountain is going to blow if we don't hurry it up!"

"Yeah true. It happens quite often, but it's not always water fountains. Last year in marine biology, she got really mad at me and the fish tank exploded. Those poor, innocent, fish."

"Oh this is bad. Sounds like your a child of the big three! Is there anything special that you can do Jade?"

"Jade's like my own personal metal detector. Like one time we were on the beach, and she just got this weird feeling. We kept walking but on the way back, in the same spot, she felt it again. She thought there was something in the ground. She wound up finding an old golden necklace."

"Oh my gods.. You guys are a walking monster magnet..How are you still alive?"

Just as I was about to smack Leo across the face because of his stupidity, a van pulls up and a man with curly hair, dark skin, and an orange shirt, that read Camp Half-Blood. I almost could have sworn that I saw horns sticking out of his head.

Alana Hale's POV

As we seemingly got closer to camp, we saw a strawberry field in full bloom. As I was looking at the field, I saw something moving. At first I thought it was just the wind blowing the plants around, but then I heard a loud growl. The guy driving the van, we found his name to be Grover, hit the gas so hard that we were jerked backwards.

"What the heck is that thing?" I ask Leo.

"It's a chimera. We have to get to camp before it catches up with us. We are almost there! Hurry up Grover!"

"I swear if you make up one more word..", grumbled Jade.

The car came to a screeching stop, at the bottom of hill. The next thing I know, I hear a loud bang on the roof of the van. You could hear its deadly claws scraping against the metal. Just when I thought it was going to come through the roof, someone yells "RUN!", and that's all the motivation I need. We all scramble out of the car and Jade, Grover and I start running up the hill. I faintly hear Leo yell to find someone by the name of Percy and tell him what's happening. We finally reach the top of the hill and I start to feel dizzy. The world starts spinning around me, and then everything goes black.

Jade Anderson's POV

As we reached the top of the hill, I notice Alana has become really pale. I called her name, but before I could get to her she fell to the ground. I quickly tried to wake her up, but Grover pushes me away.

"You need to get inside of the camp! Go find Percy and I will take Alana to the infirmary." I nodded, still in a daze, and ran towards a wooden cabin farther ahead. I'm not sure what it was exactly, but I felt as though I had entered into a completely different atmosphere. As I get closer, I realize that the cabin I saw is one of many. There are probably about twenty cabins in total, and they are all placed around a fire in the center. There are people walking around in orange t-shirts, and some are wearing what looks to be armor. I wonder what the armor is for? My thoughts were interrupted when I ran right into the back of someone.

"Hey! Everything okay?" The person I bumped into had black hair and bright sea green eyes. He was tall and lean, so when I answered I had to look up to meet his eyes.

"I'm looking for someone named Percy! It's urgent."

"Well hi, I'm Percy. What do you need?"

"Leo is outside of the camp and he needs help! There's a big lion thing out there!"

"It was nice meeting you!" he says as he pulls a pen out of his pocket. I decided I should try and find the infirmary to check on Alana. I walked up to the nearest person I could find. I walked up to a boy with blonde hair that looked about my age. I tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Excuse me, where is the infirmary?"

"Oh, it's that way." he pointed to the other side of the camp.

"Thank you!" I started to walk away, but felt him tap my shoulder.

"Wait! I never got your name."

"My name is Jade." I said as I turned around again.

"I'm Alexander! You can call me Alex." I kept walking. "Nice to meet you, Jade!" I waved without looking back, and made my way to the infirmary. I opened the door to see cots full of wounded people lining the walls. To my left I saw a boy with a gash on his arm, and to my right there was a girl holding ice to her black eye. I asked a man tending to a wound if Grover had brought in a girl named Alana. He pointed to the back of the room, and I instantly saw her head full of dark hair. I quickly walked over to her cot. She was lying on her back, looking up at the ceiling. I put my hand on her shoulder, "Hey. You okay?"

"I'm so confused. What on earth is happening?"

"Well for starters, you passed out. While Grover was taking you to the infirmary, I went into the camp to find Percy, and he seemed like a really nice guy. The camp is really cool, there are a bunch of cabins built around this huge fire pit."

"Can I see the camp? What's the camp called? How big were the cabins? When can I get out of the infirmary? Did you meet anyone else? I'm literally about to explode!" I sat there for a few seconds, trying to comprehend all the questions that were just thrown at me.

"Well when I know for sure that you aren't gonna pass out again, we can go walk around the camp."

"When will you know I'm good to go?" Just as she finished questioning me, the guy who seemed to be running the infirmary walked over

"HI, my name is Will Solstice. Son of Apollo."
