Jade Anderson's POV

After Alana stopped hyperventilating, Rachel Elizabeth Dare made her way towards the center of the crowd. Her eyes were glowing an eerie green color. All eyes were on her as she said these words,

" Four must save the pendant she desires

Two shall be lost to a room of stone

The one who guards reduced to bones

The daughter of sea finds the one they need"

There was a thud as Rachel fell to the floor. Will waked over, and knelt beside her. I shifted my gaze over to Alana, and watched as her hand rose towards her neck. Over the years, I have noticed that she fidgets with the pendant on her necklace when she gets nervous or stressed. That's when I realized the necklace that never leaves her body, was missing. Her face turned an unnatural pale color, as her hand groped the bare area around her neck.

"OH MY GODS! Where is my pendant? Why is it missing? I always have it! Jade if you took it give it back this is NOT funny! What does freaking Rachel mean 'daughter of the sea"? I refuse to go anywhere! I CAN'T DO THIS!! WHO DO THE GODS THINK THEY ARE? I can't do this. I need to go home. I don't want this. I DID NOT ASK FOR MY FATHER TO BE A FREAKING GREEK GOD. I'm done!" Alana says before she runs out of the Big House back to her cabin. I hadn't realized that I was holding my breath until she left. I sighed, gave an apologetic look to the people who Alana terrified, and ran after my best friend. I didn't bother knocking on her door, and found her huddled on her bed. Slowly, I made my way over to her shaking figure, and sank down onto the bed beside her. I put an arm around her shoulders, and pulled her against me. "Listen, we both know I'm bad with crying people so this would be a much easier conversation if you quit leaking."

"I know, I just can't help it. I just don't understand. My whole life I was told my father had died and now not only is he alive, but he's a god? And now I have to go on a quest and face gods knows what." Alana says wiping her tears.

"I know how hard this is, but you WILL get through it. I'll go on the stupid quest with you. You are basically my sister, and I would do anything for you."

"We can just pretend it's another one of my stupid adventures we used to go on." I laughed slightly at that, and I noticed that Alana had stopped crying now.

"We should probably head back to the meeting. I mean, you are kinda the star of the show now," I said through a smirk.

"Yeah , I guess I take after my brother that way." Alana says as we head out the door. Everyone was still in chaos when we got there. I heard bits and pieces of people's conversations, they were saying things like, "There is no way Alana can handle this." or, "Why her? I think I should go." They were underestimating her, and I was not going to have it.

"HEY!" Everyone quieted down and shifted their gaze towards me. "I don't care who you are, or who you think you are, but you have no right to criticize Alana like this. You don't know her like I do, and I know that she is fully capable of completing this quest. So quit trying to bring her down, and show her some support." I took a deep breath as I finished my rant, and turned to Alana. "Let's go find Percy."

"Okay, he's probably at the training arena with Annabeth. That's where he usually goes when he is frustrated, and with how the meeting was fairing in there..."

"Yeah.. That's probably where we'll find him. Lead the way boss." Alana and I headed over to the training area. As we got closer we could hear a mixture of clanging swords and voices speaking.

"...I'm just really worried about her Annabeth. She has never actually fought a monster. What if she gets hurt! I can't let that happen! Maybe I should try to follow her or something..." Percy says, worry laced in his voice.
