Jade Anderson's POV

The sun. What a terrible thing sometimes. As soon as I opened my eyes, I was blinded by its rays streaming through a small gap in my curtains. I groaned in annoyance, and yanked them shut. "What's your malfunction this morning sunshine?" From the corner of my eye, I see Nico sit up in his bed and stretch.

"Exactly that. The sunshine."

"Why are you up so early anyway?"

"Why are you asking so many questions? If you must know, Alana is making me go to the beach."

"The Beach? There's too much sand, sun, and happiness if you ask me."

"Finally! Someone who shares my view. I'd much rather stay out of the sun, and out of the good vibes."

"I guess you'll just have to get used to it."

"Thanks for the advice sweetheart. Now if you'll excuse me I have to get ready. I have a feeling my dear friend is still snoring. She will not be happy if she's late." Nico scoffs at the name I call him, and lays back down in his bed.

I get up and go to get dressed. I put on a pair of black jeans, a plain maroon t-shirt, and my old worn out combat boots. Like always, I leave my hair to cascade down my back, and head to Alana's cabin. After knocking three times, I just decide to walk in. I had to hold back a laugh when I open the door. Alana and Percy were both lying flat on their backs snoring as loud as could be. Their left hands were draped over their chests, and one of their legs was hanging off the side of the bed. I smile, and shake my head as I walk over to wake up Alana. "Hey, we're gonna be late if you don't wake up."

"Fiv mre mints mom"

"Hmm, let me think about that. No." I grab her leg that is already hanging over the edge of her bed, and pull. She grunts as she hits the floor. This caused Percy to jump out of his bed, grabbing riptide in the process.

"JADE!!", they yell at the same time.

"What the hades are you doing here Jade? I need sleep!" Alana says annoyed.

"Umm, I'm Sorry. Beach, cute guys, any of that ring a bell?"

Percy wakes up completely now, and with a slight frown on his face he says "Cute guys?"

"Umm cute guys? I don't know any cute guys. What do cute guys even look like?" Alana says smiling sweetly at her brother. As she walks to the bathroom to change, she gives me a dirty look and elbows me in the ribs. When the door shuts, and Alana is out of sight, Percy gives me a questioning look. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask.

"So who are these cute guys"

"That my friend, doesn't concern you."

"But it concerns my sister, and therefore concerns me."

"Listen, I get you're trying to be a good big brother, but its Alana we're talking about here. She's the most innocent human being I have ever met. Plus, I will take care of her. Trust me."

"I just don't want to see her get hurt" Just as Percy finishes his sentence, the door to the bathroom swings open, and Alana walks out. She has her hair up in a braid, with white sandals on her feet. She has on jean shorts and a light blue tank top.

"Jade! What are you wearing? You can't wear that to the beach!!"

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?"

"You are going to die from heat stroke!"

"Well it's not my fault I don't have any shorts!"

"Oh your hopeless! Lets just go meet the boys." We make our way down to the beach, and we see two blondes sitting in the sand. Alana stopped dead in her tracks and turned to face me. She grabbed my arm and squealed in excitement. "I have the best idea! I know how we can get their attention! I should make a wave hit them."
