"What?", I whispered back to Michael who was now standing close beside me with his hand rested on the small of my back.

"You said that I didn't need to worry Carol.", Michael said as he looked towards the door, probably checking so no one came in.

"What do you mean?", Ms. Wasa responded way to calm.

"That woman that we saw, she's a fucking cop and you let her speak to Luci!", he raised his voice.

This can't be good. Maybe the police really are suspecting Michael.

"What? No.", she looked at me with confusion.

"Luci did you meet with a female cop today?", she asked.

"Yes", I answered and looked down at my feet.

"This isn't your fault Luci, Carol should have warned you, but what exactly did you tell her?", Michael said to me and wrapped his arm around my waist instead. The heat immediately rushed through my clothes and into my skin.

"Well, I told her that you kicked Luke at the party after he tried to kiss me and that you and I are friends" "Oh and that you live in my attic.."

"Okay, why did you tell her that we are friends", Michael questioned.

"To be honest, I didn't know what to call us" Are we more than friends?

"Thats not what I meant silly, why would she need to know that we're friends?", he removed his arm after answering.
I'm so stupid..

"I don't know", I muttered.

"It doesn't matter but we need to be careful. I have a feeling it won't be long before they want to speak with me.", he said.

"This will not affect the plan Michael. You are the Antichrist, remember that.", My teacher told Michael with a grin on her face.

I am so done with him sending me mixed signals

"Well, if I'm such a obstacle in your stupid plan then I'll just leave". I told them both as I walked towards the exit and with a last look back, Michael rolled his eyes at me.

The welcoming smell of coffee entered my nose when I stood inside of the coffee shop, watching the meny. I decided to skip the rest of the lessons, even though I was behind with schoolwork, to clear my mind regarding Michael. It has been three weeks since school started and I've been messing my life up more and more by spending time around this guy.

I ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream and sat down at a table beside the window. I let my jeansjacket slip from my shoulders as I took a look outside. Some times I think this world, and this town, can look so vulnerable from certain perspectives. My eyes scanned the people rushing on the streets and then the drink wrapped around my hands.

I was just about to smash open the classroom door when someone touched my shoulder. I turned around to see the most devilish looking boy. He was tall, intimidating and had a face so beautiful yet so frightening, it must have been carved by the devil himself. The boy was wearing a black t-shirt and a pair of black jeans but his golden hair and blue eyes made him shine bright in our dark hallway. Wow.

For a moment I let my mind slip back to the memory of the first time I saw him, Michael. He had stormed into my life with no warning and interrupted my plan, just like I had done to him. Yet I seem to be the only one caring about us.

"Hello again", a familiar voice said and I turned my head to a woman with chestnut hair standing infront of my table. It was the cop from school, shit!

"Hey", I answered shyly.

"You can sit down if you want", I offered while knowing what a bad idea that was.

"Thank you", she said and sat down with a black coffee in her hand. The woman was not wearing a uniform anymore, instead her body was dressed in a grey blouse and a pair of jeans.

"I didn't catch your name earlier", I politely remarked.

"Sorry. I'm Brenda", she smiled and me too.

"So, is there any news about Luke?"

She took a sip of her coffee before answering.

"No, unfortunately not"

"I hope he is okay, I really liked him", I lied.

"Liked?" What is it with this woman and my relationships...

"Just like a friend", I informed her.

"Oh"

"Well, I better get going", I told Brenda and sat up from the table, leaving my almost full chocolate. I needed to get out of there before she would start asking things but when I started to pull my jacket back on she grabbed my arm.

"Wait..I just wondered if I could get your number?" I jumped at the question.

It was not that I didn't find her attractive, but I just couldn't get Michael and his fire out of my mind.

"Um I-I", I stuttered. Was she even my age?

"I get it", she ended my suffering and smiled once again.

"I'm sorry", I said before leaving the embarrassing moment and the coffee shop.

At least that explains why she asked about Michael and I.

I just added aesthetics for Ms. Wasa and Brenda in the introduction, check it out!
