Once Bitten, Twice Shy [[Kid X Reader X Ace]]

Let the Games Begin

LAW POV:

"A berserker." you whispered.

You turned to the rest of group and nudged Kid, his eyes were glued to y/n-ya's change. All eyes snapped towards her when they heard a chains breaking and a woman scream. Y/n-ya had Boa on the ground, she was shaking her like a rag-doll with Boa's throat tightly clamped down between her jaws. This was getting brutal, you knew that she wouldn't be able to control the fury that had been building inside of her for the past week. 

You had to get to her. You had to calm her down, if not help her. But you couldn't do it by yourself, you had to get the others to work with you. You turned to Kid and Ace standing on your right, "We've got to get out there. We have to stop her. She's blind right now with nothing but rage and who knows if she'll try to attack us after she finishes with them," you finished as you heard the final cry come from Boa's mouth. 

"I know that," Kid retorted, "but what the fuck do you think we're gonna do with these?" he asked as he held up the cuffs they were all bound in.

You heard something break to your left, and turned to see Luffy had changed along with Zoro, Ace, and Sanji. "Simple. Just change and break the cuffs." Luffy smiled as he held out his freed wrists and wagged his tail. 

You pinched the bridge of your nose and sighed. "Of course, but what do we do about them?" You inquired pointing Doffy and Hogback who were completely engrossed in the bloodshed happening in-front of them. You could've sworn Hogback was dancing on his toes. 

Y/n-ya was creating quite the distraction, so no ones focus was on ya'll at the moment. She let out a deafening howl that caused Perona to freeze. Before we knew it y/n-ya was on top of her, she backhanded her so hard that she came flying towards Hogback and knocked him clean of the stage he was standing on. 

You looked around and saw that everyone was freed. "Sanji, take Robin, Nami and Chopper out of here. Once they're in a safe place, get back here. We're going to need all the help we can get." you ordered. With that they were off. "Alright, Luffy, Zoro and Sabo, you guys take care of Hogback and Perona. Ace, Kid and I will take care of Doffy. We need to hurry." 

"I don't think we need to worry about that..." Ace said pointing behind you. 

As you turned around you saw y/n-ya going straight for the stage where Doffy was waiting for her. He was....smiling. That arrogant son of a bitch.

Within seconds she had crossed the field and lunged at him. He jumped in the air and changed just before the impact of y/n-ya's feet collided with his chest pinning him to the ground. She grabbed his arm and pulled hard enough to where we could hear the 'pop' of the ball joint leaving the socket. Sabo cringed at the audible noise. She whipped Doffy into the air and swung him hard down into the ground again. She did this repeatedly. 

All we could do was stare. 

"GO!" Kid yelled as he was already running toward the fight. Sabo, Luffy and Zoro shot off in the direction of Hogback and Perona, while Ace and you ran towards Kid. You spotted Sanji running back into the field and waved him to come with you. By the time you arrived to the scene, the field was covered in blood. There were pink feathers everywhere. Doffy had recovered enough and was trying to fight back. He was a tall man, but y/n-ya towered over him in her berserker state. He was landing blows  but for every good five he got in she would only have to hit him with one good one to make him fall and stagger to get back up. She was toying with him. After all these years, this man is finally getting the treatment he deserves. A slow and painful death. You thought for a moment about just letting her do what she wanted when Kid landed a blow to Doffy and caught both of their attention. 

She snarled at him. She snarled at Kid. She went to backhand him when you slid in and caught her arm. God she was strong, your knees were buckling under the pressure. She was growling at you. She turned and let out a huge roar at Ace, essentially freezing him in place. He got the hint. Kid stood there and just glared at her and curled his lip. Gradually he caved and sulked off taking his place next to Ace. You had remained in place, holding her arm, when she looked down at you and you saw that flicker in her eyes. It was one you hadn't seen in a long time, but you knew what it meant. She was pleading with you to trust her. Her gaze fogged and you saw her bare her teeth to you. You moved back and she ran towards Doffy catching him in the stomach and rolled on the ground. 

You all flinched when you heard the landing. You could hear the bones breaking, he had to have punctured a lung. He wasn't going to live. She started wailing on him and he was laughing. He was laughing and then there was silence. 

"What now?" Ace asked walking up beside you.

"Give it a minute. She's not done yet." Kid added joining you. 

You all turned your eyes to her and watched her fists drop to her sides and her shoulder sag. She reared her head back and howled. It was sorrowful howl. All that pain from her childhood and now she finally gets the closure she needed. 

When she finally stopped she got up and began walking towards you and the others. Sabo, Luffy, Sanji and Zoro were running back and came in time to watch you rally from your victory. 

"Is she okay?" Zoro panted. 

"No..I'm not okay..." y/n-ya said causing us all to turn towards her again. 

She was changing back and you could see the tiredness in her eyes just before she collapsed on the ground before you. There were stitches, cuts, marks, bruising....what had they done to you? You took off your coat and covered her up. Picking her up you looked towards the others. 

"It's time to go home," you started and looked towards Kid and Zoro, "but first, we need to burn the bodies."
