ღChapter 14: Cuteness all Around ღ

Katelyn POV

I looked up at the blue, clear sky and dusky, gloomy clouds. I speculated into the distance of the mountains. Pitch-black clouds were surrounding the high mountains and I could hear subtle thunder from far.

Obviously seems like a storm is coming..

The wind began to pick up.

I shivered. Nothing like a cold day in December...

I was wandering around the convenience stores, trying to ease my mind.

I was still quite close to the hospital, but tried not to stay intact of it.

I didn't want anyone to see me...not after what I did...to him...to them.

Suddenly, I got startled by a loud, obnoxious car horn.

A grey car passed in the parking lot and the window rolled down.

"HEEEY KATELYN!" Travis yelled out

Oh right..he's not aware of what happened..

I waved back.

He parked his car and opened the door

He then stepped outside and approached me,

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

I had to lie, Aphmau told me not to tell anyone yet.

But I really wanted to tell Travis..to tell him of the pain I'm feeling right now..

so he could comfort me.

"Just..shopping for Christmas gifts." I responded.

"But..you don't have any bags..?"

"That's because I haven't began shopping you dimwit!"

"But yet, you seem exhausted? Like you've had a long day."

"Travis..stop being so nosy and just leave..please."

"Are you okay Katelyn? You've been odd ever since we began our conversation right now. Do you want to talk?"

I wanted to reject his offer harshly and hurt him. I wanted to make him feel terrible.

But I couldn't.

Because deep inside, I wanted to get in his car and talk.

I needed an excuse though..

Fortunately, it began to rain a bit.

"I suppose we could talk inside your car..since it's raining." I said

"Perfect! Shall we m'lady?" He said escorting me to the seat of his car.

I drew my hair behind my ears and said, "Just stop you weirdo."

He's too cute for this society.

Kawaii~Chan POV

I walked outside the hospital doors with Aaron, Laurance, and Aphmau by my side.

I can't wait to go back to work at the Maid Cafe

Besides, I seemed to not have any complications prior to my injury.

Plus, I don't use my left arm a lot..aside from washing dishes in the maid cafe.

It's okay! I'm sure the workers will understand what I'm incapable of doing.

"Hey Aphmau~Senpai? I asked

"Yes Kawaii~Chan?" Aphmau said

"Thank you for supporting Kawaii~Chan. I'm glad all of you understand what Kawaii~Chan is going through right now." I said smiling brightly.

"It's our pleasure Kawaii~Chan! We'll always be here for you." Aphmau said pleasantly.

"So, are we just heading to our car? How about Garroth and Zane?" Laurance asked.

"Garroth texted me that he and Zane will meet us there..so that's where we're heading!" Aphmau responded.

I snuggled the pink teddy bear that was placed on the counter in front of me in the hospital room. I wonder who left it here?

"Aphmau~Senpai, who brought this adorable fluffy teddy bear?" I said while hugging it

"Oh! Zane brought it!" she responded with a slight smile.

I was quite surprised that Zane even got me a gift.

"Zane~Kun? Oh..well Kawaii~Chan will be sure to thank him!" I said

We finally arrived at the car. Zane and Garroth shortly approached us.

"Where's Katelyn?" Garroth asked.

"Travis texted that he encountered her and how he's accompanying her." Laurance stated.

Garroth nodded.

The rain began to pour, so we quickly hustled into the car.

Aaron drove with Aphmau right next to him in the passenger seat.

They were holding hands! EEEEEE~!

Even if shipping is something my persona, Kawaii~Chan does..

Doesn't mean that I couldn't care any less.

Shipping is my passion, especially when it comes to friends.

Like Travis and Katelyn! They're so cute together!

And now she's accompanying him? AAHH!

I sat next to Zane behind Aphmau and Aaron, and Garroth volunteered to take the back.

I glanced at Zane and noticed that he was staring at the window. There were rain drops streaming down the glass.

I guess he liked looking at the aesthetic view and find it somewhat pleasing?

I personally prefer the rain as well.

All my unpleasant memories each had one common theme.

Rain.

Always...rain.

But it doesn't change my perspective on it. I still adore the rain, even when it presented the most terrible memories.

"Hi Zane~Kun!" I said, greeting him.

He looked surprised that I was talking to him

Is he THAT anti-social?

"Hey.." he said quietly.

Why did I feel uneasy talking to him?

"U-um, thank you for the gift Zane~Kun!" I said presenting the teddy bear.

"No problem" he said and looked away. He took out his phone and glued his eyes on it.

"Nice chat.." I mumbled to myself.

"What was that?" he said, focusing on me once again.

"N-Nothing!" I said frantically.

Why is he so hard to make a conversation with?
