Living your life cutthroat

Part 17

           Gem ended up giving me the day off today so I was able to get some time too myself away from the guys and those god damn' paperwork that seems to never end.

I finished getting my nails and hair done since it was begging for attention and touch up when I walked out I saw Piney in front of Floyd's on his bike with Opie beside him looking stressed out, I decided to go over and see what is going on as I made my way over Piney had left just leaving me and Opie.

"Hey Op!" I yelled a few feet away from him getting his attention so he wouldn't leave he looked over with a tiny smile on his face "How are you? I haven't gotten the chance to actually talk to you" I said finally standing in front of him.

"It's good seeing you to kid, things are the way they always are a pain in the ass." He said with a chuckle.

I gave him a smile "How are the kids, and Donna? I wanted to come by and see them but I wasn't sure how Donna would take it with me coming and all." I told him the truth, I knew how Donna felt when Opie went away I mean the whole club knew how she felt she blamed us for him going to jail when it was all because of dipshit Kyle.

"Kids are good getting big, Donna is well stressing with everything." Telling me the truth, one thing with me him and Jax was that we couldn't hide anything from each other and no matter what we would always drop whatever we had going on to help each other.

"Well tell them aunt Val wants too see them and is there anything I can help with? I mean with the stressing part?" I asked him looking at him hoping he would take my offer.

"Nah I'll work something out with Clay." You could tell by just looking at him that he was struggling and I knew him going to Clay meant he was more than likely having trouble with money and with him working on god knows what with Clay would only make things worse with Donna.

"Look clearly its money trouble since you are going to Clay, I'm not telling you not too go to him but I don't want it messing up your marriage so I want you to shut your mouth and take what I'm about to give too you...Take it as a gift for being a great friend" I said with a smile as I took out my checkbook out of my purse and started to fill it out.

"Val, you really don't have to do this I can't ask you for money" He said with a shocked tone.

"Well you aren't asking me for the money that's why I said its a gift silly." I said handing it over "And get the kids a little something for me, until I can come by and visit them" I said giving him a kiss on the cheek.

He looked down and his eyes looked like they were about to pop out of his head "How the hell do you have this much money, and are okay with just giving it too me are you going to be okay if you give me this much?" He asked me with concern.

I just shrugged "Well I saved up a lot when I was working in high school for University which we all know how that went, plus I get paid for doing all the shit Gem makes me do at the office so it's been adding up their for I will be perfectly fine its basically been collecting dust." I said as if it was nothing plus it was nothing if it meant I was helping a friend out who was basically a family member. "Make sure you are safe if you go on a run with Clay please." I said giving him a hug which he returned.

"I will again thank you for this, you have no clue how much this means to me." He said with a huge smile on his face and I knew I did something good by doing this for his family and those kids who needed it the most. 

"Don't worry about it, I'll see you later though okay even though I was given a day off I know someone is going to end up calling me and asking me to come back so I better finish shopping around. Also don't for get Gemma is hosting dinner tonight please try to make it and bring the family." I said with a smile walking away, you could hear his laugh with a nod from were I was which brought a huge smile onto my face fully knowing he was less stressed out now.

I know it wouldn't be up to him if they came to the dinner or not but at least he knows that no matter what he will always be part of the club but mostly he will always be part of our family. No matter what we will always have each others backs.
