Hizashi stumbled dizzily through the chilly streets, his long, silky blond hair whipping around his head, caught in the wind as the pulsing, neon lights of the city bathed him in flashes of red, blue, pink, and everything in between. His usually bright chartreuse eyes were dazed an fuzzy, out of focus, his vision somehow seeming washed out and faded, devoid of vibrancy despite the colorful flashes above him. His thin neck was wrapped heavily in clean white cotton, his headphones shoved half hazardously over his pierced ears, turned up to damaging volumes and blasting a rock tune he liked, although he scarcely heard it right now, or paid attention to it.

His breath reeked of alcohol, his staggering, unsteady footsteps halting and uncertain and, despite his usual familiarity with the area, he continued to look back and forth along the street, stopping occasionally with a blank, confused expression, as if he had forgotten something and couldn't remember what it was before lurching forwards once again, trying to recall where he was standing last.

He felt like shit, his chest sick, his head pounding, his guts swirling and churning evilly inside him, making him want to vomit, but he didn't regret his decision to get a drink.

At least now, he didn't have to listen to the voices anymore.

Hell, he didn't even have to think anymore.

He didn't know where he was going, and he didn't much care, just wanting to be alone for a little while, wanting to be someone else.

The voices had been ricocheting around in his skull since the phone call, and despite his attempt at ignoring them, he just couldn't. They were always there, ready to sting him like a swarm of killer bees, keeping him from fully relaxing and worrying, uncertain of what tomorrow held. It had gotten worse while they scrubbed down the mess he made in the kitchen, finally breaking as he stood by the door alone, listening to Aizawa and Hitoshi's horseplay in the living room.

He pushed through the crowd in a daze, half realizing he was heading towards the park where he had Aizawa had gone after their first official date, his mind working on autopilot. He was tired and wanted to sleep as cold seeped into his bones, his feet squishing through the slightly damp grass. He kept walking until he bumped into a bench, tucked away under a few low hanging trees, his mind slow as he stared at it a second, before he simply moved closer and lay down, tucking his knees up to his chest and wrapping his arms around himself to keep warm, letting his clouded emerald eyes slide shut.

He was so tired....

The scruffy black alley cat dashed across the rooftops with barely a sound, street lights casting shadows on his appearance and blurring his figure, making him seem more like a flitting black shadow, there one moment, gone the next, vanishing and reappearing in the blink of an eye or a turn of the head.

Aizawa's breath turned to white vapor, the cold night air intoxicating him as adrenaline tore through his veins, his usual fatigue fading away with every footstep. Wind whipped through his ink black hair, the cotton-alloy scarf billowing out behind him as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop, each of his landings silent, ducking behind lit billboards, dodging the flashing lights of the city as he searched.

He was in his element, the night air filling him with a flush of energy. His dark clothes blended seamlessly in with the shadows while his golden goggles caught and scattered small sparks of light, every one of his movement fast and undetectable. If he wasn't on a frantic mission at this moment, he would have loved every second of his journey, the adrenaline rush that coursed through him, the darkness that he belonged and hid in so well, the crisp night air that rushed past him as he continued to dash across the roof, staying close to the shadows.

But right now, his heart was pounding loud in his chest as his eyes scanned the ground for any sign of Hizashi, his body cold and hot at the same time, desperately wanting to find the blond.
