Journey's P.O.V.
I woke up to the noise of movement around me. I blinked open my eyes. I saw that Agnus was sitting on her bed applying make-up. Lily was still fast asleep and Alice was changing. I sat up and ran a hand through my hair. "Good morning, sunshine." Agnus grumbled. She's just like Lavender Brown. Ignore her completely. I thought to myself. Alice looked over and smiled at me as she pulled on a dress.
"Why are you wearing a dress?" I asked. She rolled her eyes.
"Wearing one piece of clothing is easier to change back and forth into, which is great when you go dress shopping." I groaned. She chuckled. "I'll get Lily up. You go change." I did as she instructed, pulling clothes out of my trunk and starting to get dressed. Once I was done, Lily was up and almost ready too. Agnus left as Lily pulled on her shirt.
As we walked down the steps, I said, "So, Alice, is Frank taking you?" He grinned and nodded.
"Of course. I assume Lily here is going with James." She said while poking Lily's side. Lily rolled her eyes.
"As a matter of fact, I am going with Severus." She stated. Alice's mouth dropped open.
"But.. But James - and you - and..." Lily put her hand over Alice's mouth as they approached the bottom of the steps. I saw Remus and my heart fluttered. I looked down. This needs to stop. I mean, Draco is back home waiting. I'm not doing him justice thinking about another guy.
"Yo, Journey!" I looked up at Sirius, who was sitting across the room in a lounge chair.
"I'll be down to breakfast in a minute. Go ahead." I said to the girls. They both nodded and walked off as I started towards the boys. I sat in the chair next to Sirius'. "Yes?" I asked, facing the four boys.
"Where's the flour?" James asked.
"In my bag upstairs. Why?" Sirius shrugged.
"Just making sure. We're going to go down to the Room of Requirements during free period on Monday and pour it into the buckets. And - well - you know the rest of the plan."
"What is the Room of Requirements?" (She doesn't know because Neville discovers it halfway through fifth year.) The boys shared their smirks.
"Well, we'll have to show you." James said before turning to the guys. "We can use the cloak to show her tonight." I twisted my fingers together, remembering how many times I've used that cloak.
"Lily and I have to monitor the halls, though." Remus stated. James grinned.
"Great. A prefect escort." Sirius said. I rolled my eyes.
"Guys, that would be so wrong. He's on duty. It's like a police officer. When they're on duty, they're all law abiding, but once off duty, they'll do illegal stuff." Remus smiled.
"Exactly."
"Well, my dear, - can I call you that? - anyways, I guess it's just you me and James. Peter will most likely be asleep." I smiled.
"Why would you trust me with the knowledge of this room?" I asked. It is a reasonable question.
"Because, to us, my dear, you're already family." Sirius said, wrapping an arm around my shoulder. I couldn't help but smile. It's great to know that people here care about me. I'm just afraid to grow too attached. If I go home, I don't want these guys to miss me all that much.
"Well, I'm starving. You guys coming to breakfast?" I asked.
"Yeah. Let's go." They all stood up and we walked down to the Great Hall. We sat down with Alice and Lily. When Remus sat down next to me, both girls winked at me. I wanted to slap them.
"So, what are you ladies doing today?" Sirius asked. Lily grinned.
"Dress shopping for the ball." She responded. I groaned.
"You can always stay with us." James said to me.
"Oh no she can't." Alice and Lily said at the same time. "We're forcing her to come." Lily said. I slammed my head against the table. After I had done it a few times, Remus placed his hand on my forehead and held me up.
"No no. Don't fragment your brain." He said.
I rolled my eyes. "Is it even possible to 'fragment your brain'?" I asked. He chuckled.
"I don't think so. I don't study Muggle studies." I shook my head.
"Lily, darling, why must you put me through this torture?" I asked. She shook her head.
"Why don't you want to go so badly?" Alice asked.
"I don't like dresses." I stated. That's a complete lie. I just don't want to go and be reminded of dancing with Draco at the Yule Ball. Lily's eyes narrowed.
"A girl from Beauxbatons doesn't like dresses? No wonder they kicked you out." I laughed. "Well, you may not stay with the boys. We will drag you dress shopping if needed."
"Boys, do you have any super glue?" I asked .
"Of course." James replied.
"Can I have it? I'm gluing myself to the floor." Lily and Alice rolled their eyes.
"Well, I want to get going now. Let's go." Alice stood up. Lily pulled me from my seat. The guys sent me sorry glances as I let Lily pull me by the wrist.
The second we stepped in the the dress shop where I had bought my Yule Ball dress, thoughts of Draco and my special night overwhelmed my brain.
This is kind of an introduction chapter to my next chapter. I'm not sure when I will get the next chapter up. I love you all and remember the magic. <3 - Rebeka.
