Journey's P.O.V

I woke up being shaken abruptly. "Jo! Get up!" Lily screeched at me. I groaned and flipped over. I'm not a morning person. At all. "Journey Mate! Get yourself up this very moment or I will get the boys up here!" Sat up.

"God. I'm up." I twist comfortably in my pajamas. I looked down and saw that I was still in my day clothes. I guess I fell asleep a little earlier than I expected. Lily handed me a piece or parchment.

"You fell asleep with this on your lap last night, so I took it off when I came in." I smiled and thanked her. I put the essay on my bedside table and got out of bed slowly.

"We have to go down to have breakfast in 10 minutes and once we're done, we have an hour to get ready for our dates." I sighed and got up to dress for breakfast.

"You're so lucky I'm actually going. If I had a choice, I would sit in the library all day." I said. She rolled her eyes.

"I'm still making you go." I sighed and got changed.

Lily and I started walking to the Great Hall. "Okay, you and Remus are going to be so perfect together. You sound so similar! I can just see you two getting married and being together forever." She grinned at me.

"We are not! You and James will have 10 children with his messy hair and your eyes." I stuck my tongue out at her as she scrunched up her nose in disgust. We walked into the Great Hall.

"Will you come with me to say hi to Sev? He's my best friend." I nodded.

"We've met briefly." She grinned and grabbed my wrist, taking me over to the Slytherin table. Snape was sitting pretty much alone. There were people around him, but none of them are talking to him. I immediately felt terrible for all the rude things I've ever done to him. No wonder he's so sour. He didn't have any friends as a kid.

"Sev!" Lily called. He turned with a smile, something I've never seen before, to Lily. Something was in his eyes that I couldn't make out. Care? No it was more than that. Love.Snape is showing love for my mom. I think I'm going to throw up.

"Hey Lily! Jo." He nodded to me. I smiled a little.

The next thing my mom said nearly made me pee myself. "Sev, will you go to the ball with me? I really don't want to have to resort to Potter." He was grinning.

"Of course I'll go with you, Lily." She smiled at him. She kissed his cheek before, once again, grabbing my wrist and walking to our table.

"So, you and Severus?" I asked with raised eyebrows. She rolled her eyes.

"He's just a good friend. Nothing more." I gave her a 'yeah, sure' look and then started eating. We were almost finished when the boys all came and sat around us. Alice, we knew, already ate and went with Frank somewhere.

"Ello, Lily." James said with a smile. "You ready for our date?" Lily sighed.

"Yeah, whatever." Then she looked to me. "I'm more excited to dress Jo up for her date." I groaned.

"No dresses, please." I whined. The boys snickered.

"Of course I'm making you wear a dress!" She exclaimed.

"But Lilllyyyyy," I drew out her name, "I don't wanna." I complained. She rolled her eyes.

"I will force you into the dress. Now, are you done eating?" She didn't wait for my answer before saying, "Good, let's go." I stood up with a sigh. I sent the boys a 'save me' look before following behind Lily.

After a near hour of fussing, Lily and I were ready to go. "This really isn't as bad of an outfit as I thought you were going to put me in.  was expecting a pretty, frilly dress." She grinned. "And you, you look gorgeous. James will be all over you." She sighed.

"I'm not sure whether or not I want that." I laughed. "Well, ten minutes until we go to Hogsmead. Might as well get going." Just then, an owl knocked on the window. Lily groaned. "What now?" She went over and let the owl fly in. "It's for you." She stated. As she handed me the letter, I saw the Hogwarts symbol on the back.

"You can go down. I'll just see what this is." She rolled her eyes.

"I'm waiting for you."

I quickly tore open the letter, not wanting to keep James and Remus waiting.

Dear Journey Potter-Mate,

I wrote up this permission form to Hogsmead for you, seeing as you are most likely going this weekend.

If anyone asked, Mr. Smith is your orphanage owner and caretaker.

Have fun, my dear.

-Professor A. Dumbledore.

Attached to his letter was a permission form signed Mr. M. Smith.

Thank god he remembered! What would I have done if he hadn't?! I did a mental face palm before getting up. Lily was looking at me questioningly. "It's my permission form to Hogsmead." I slipped it into my bag as she nodded.

"Now, let's get going!"

We walked down the steps. Both Remus and James and Remus were sitting on the couch. Lily walked over to them. "C'mon, boys." She said. James seemed flustered as he stood up looped his arm with Lily's.

Remus smiled at me and held his arm out to me. I took it with a smile.

"Well, off to our not date date." He said so only I could hear. I chuckled and we started on our way.

Hey guys! As always, I hope you enjoyed. I'm not sure if I'll get the date chapter up today, because I'm going to try to update two of my other stories. Comment, heart, suggestions? Well, I love you all and remember the magic! <3 - Rebeka
