Jungkook POV
Biting my lip nervously, I silently slip out of the house when the clock hits 5:45pm. Thankfully, my mother has been pathetically hiding in her room all day and so I'm able to just sneak out without her having any idea.
Shaking my head to myself, I pull my phone out and check the message that Jimin hyung sent me with his address. Nodding to myself, I shove my phone back into my pocket and exit the apartment complex. Thankfully, I have an idea of where he lives since it's not too far from the school. It ends up taking me a little longer than I'd expected to get there, but twenty minutes later I reach the apartment complex he lives in.
Looking around silently, I head up the stairs to the fifth floor. Going all the way to the end of the hall like his text reads, I knock on the door. Shoving my hands into my pockets and biting my lip once again, I patiently wait for Jimin to answer the door. However, I'm surprised when I see a different familiar figure answer it instead.
"Tae hyung?" I question in confusion, feeling slightly embarrassed that I must've gotten the wrong place.
"Jungkookie?" He says in surprise, his facial expression giving away just how surprised he is.
"I-I'm sorry, hyung. I-I must have the wrong place." I tell him shyly as I take a step back. He tilts his head to the side though.
"Who're you looking for?" Tae asks suddenly, curiosity in his voice. I avert my gaze to the floor, feeling my cheeks heat up a bit.
"I was looking for Jimin hyung. I-... I don't really know his last name. I don't recall being told." I answer softly, rubbing the back of my neck nervously. He chuckles though.
"Come on in, Jungkook. Hyung! You never told me the kid you were tutoring was Jungkook!" Tae yells as he turns inwards toward the apartment. My eyes widen a bit as I watch him turn back towards me. Offering his boxy smile, he motions for me to head on in. Awkwardly, I step inside as he closes the door behind me. He then leads me further into the apartment.
"You idiot! How was I supposed to know that you'd know him?" Jimin says with an eye roll, standing up from the gray sofa in their living space.
"Are-are you guys dating?" I ask curiously, feeling shy by asking such an odd question. Though, I can't help but feel a tad jealous that they might be. Maybe a little hurt as well. Although, I wouldn't know why I'd feel that way... It doesn't make any sense.
"What? Oh, no. We're not dating, Jungkook. We attend the same college though, and we're really close friends. He's like a brother to me." Jimin chuckles with a cute eye smile again. I blush once more, now feeling kinda embarrassed for having asked such a question. Of course they're only friends. Thank god though...
"Why? Were you hoping to steal my Jiminie from me, Jungkookie?" Taehyung asks, shooting me a wink. My eyes widen at his teasing question, feeling my cheeks heat up even more than before I can quickly shake my head no. Tae chuckles though, walking over to me and slinging an arm around my shoulder.
"Don't worry, Kookie. I definitely approve of the two of you being a thing. Feel free to take him off the market. Just don't be too loud when you do, okay? I still wanna be able to sleep in the evenings." He says with a smirk. Not even knowing how to react at this point, I cover my face with my hands as I shake my head again.
"Tae, stop teasing the poor boy. He came here to have me help him with his grades. Not so that he could be harassed by you over his preferences and who he likes." Jimin says with an eye roll, though there's a small smile still placed on his plump lips.
"Whatever you sayyyyyy." Tae sings as he removes his arm from me and prances over to the kitchen area.
"I'm going make dinner for all of us. What would you boys like?" He says, opening up a cupboard to begin sifting through it.
"Whatever will make you happen." Jimin says with an eye roll before motioning for me to join him on the sofa that he's stood next to. Hesitantly, I head over and sit down with him. He gives me a gentle smile as we sit, and I can't help but look away with a slight blush still tinting my cheeks.
"Sorry for my cheeky roommate. Just ignore Tae. He doesn't know what he's talking about half the time anyways." Jimin tell me as he grabs his bag from beside him.
"Hey! You asshole! You're just jealous because I can be more forward about things than you can!" Taehyung argues loudly from the kitchen behind us. I chuckle quietly in amusement by the two of them.
"Bullshit! Just be quiet and make your food slave! I have important things to do over here rather than listen to you complain and argue nonsense!" Jimin argues in return with an eye roll.
"Excuse me! Bitch!" Tae calls from behind. I chuckle a bit harder, immensely amused by their banter.
"Look, unless you wanna get your ass over here and tutor the kid on shit you don't even know, shut the hell up and just get back to cooking!" Jimin groans to the younger boy. I bite my lip, trying to control my laughter. We can hear Tae grumble from the kitchen, but the argument ends causing the both of us to chuckle quietly. Maybe being here this late for help won't be so terrible...
