Jimin POV
"Jimin, seriously. You've gotta change something. You can't keep running off of such little sleep. It's not healthy and it's showing. You're getting dark bags under your eyes and it's obvious that you aren't eating enough as you're getting skinnier." Tae argues with me quietly as we stand in the kitchen. It's been a week now since Jungkook moved in with us, but nothing's changed routine wise for any of us. I still leave the apartment by 6:45am and don't return until 11:30 at night. I'm still normally not in bed before one thirty in the morning and am usually up by 5:00am.
"Tae, I can handle myself. I promise, I'll be fine. Besides, it's not like I don't have the weekends to relax a bit." I say with an eye roll. Tae frowns at me, giving me a disapproving look.
"Park Jimin, that's not how this works. Do you even know the definition of relaxing? Sure, you get to sleep in a bit on the weekends by getting up at seven thirty and getting home between four and five in the afternoon, but it doesn't make a difference when you only come home to work even more. You come back here only to tutor Jungkook and do your homework. Even on Sundays you're not in bed before eleven!" Tae scolds. I groan quietly, covering my face with my hands as I lean forward on the table to rest my elbows. Sitting here across from him, it's the most frustrated I've been in a long time.
"Look, Taehyung. You know just as well as I do that balancing work and college at the same time is a difficult task. I'm doing the fucking best I can, alright? Just because I took the second job in tutoring Jungkook and that I'm doing everything I can to help him improve his grades, doesn't mean I can't handle myself. I can take care of myself just fine." I huff with a frown, shooting him a small glare from between my fingers.
"Jimin, you're fucking dating the kid and you don't even have goddamn time for him! Have you taken him out on a date since the two of you started dating? Have you shown him what it's like to have someone care for you and show you affection because you deserves it? No! You've done nothing but kiss him a few fucking times and occasionally peck his lips! Other than that, there would be absolutely no fucking way that anyone could tell the two of you are even dating! You're not treating him right! You're fucking overworking yourself to the point that you're going to make yourself sick! You need to make up your mind and you need to figure out what the hell is actually important to you. Because if you aren't going to date him properly and fucking care for him the way he deserves, then goddamn, it I will." Tae snaps angrily.
My eyes widen, my mouth falling agape just a bit. All I can manage to do right at this moment is stare at the boy across the table from me. It feels like my heart is being crushed, compressed beyond what it can handle but also being stretched apart further than what it can take.
"You have feelings for Jungkook. Don't you?" I whisper, hardly being able to breathe right at this moment. Taehyung sighs, running a hand through his hair.
"Look, I respect the fact that the two of you are together, hyung. But you're not treating him the way he deserves. You don't have the time to be dating him. You hardly have enough time in your day right now as it is to be eating the proper amount. For that matter, you're not even eating as much as you should be during the week. I'm worried about you, and I don't want Kookie getting wrapped up into it and hurt in the process." Tae says softly with a frown. Just then, I hear the door to my old bedroom creak open.
"Did you know, Jungkook? Is that how you feel?" I question loudly, not bothering to turn back to look at the younger boy.
"Jiminie, what're you talking about?" Jungkook asks softly, his sock covered feet padding against the floor as I hear his footsteps grow near me. I soon feel him gently place his hands on my shoulders, but I shake them off before standing.
"Why don't you have a lovely little talk with Tae, hmm? The two of you were close to begin with, I wouldn't be surprised if I merely was getting in the way of you two all this time. Come find me when the two of you have made up your fucking minds." I snap coldly before heading towards the door.
"Jimin." Taehyung sighs out from where he's still sat at the table. I ignore him though, slipping my shoes on instead.
"Jiminie, what's going on? Please, just talk to me." Jungkook questions, sounding worried. I pause at the door for a moment before mentally shaking it off and leaving the apartment. Slamming the door shut behind me, I ignore the fact that I've not eaten breakfast this morning and that I'm leaving the place far too early for the first private lesson at the dance studio for today. I head there anyways, wanting only to do the one thing that's ever managed to allow me to express my emotions properly.
Go to the dance studio so that I can dance the pain away.
