Jimin POV
Sighing quietly to myself, I adjust the plain black tie I'm wearing. Biting my lip nervously, I wet my hands with the running water from the sink before putting my hands in my hair. Brushing my fingers through my locks, I quickly fix my hair back to where it's supposed to be before sighing once more.
"You look fine, Jiminie. Honestly, it's okay. You shouldn't be so nervous." Tae says softly, placing a hand gently on my shoulder. I frown lightly, looking over at him through the mirror.
"How can you be so sure though? Tae, he... he'll be overwhelmed. I mean, come on. You remember how exciting and how much energy it took out of us when we went through this." I remind him uncertainly. He gives me a small smile, rubbing my shoulders gently.
"It'll be okay, Jiminie. I promise. It's gonna go easier and better than you think." Tae comforts with a small smile. I heave another sigh for what feels like the millionth time today, rubbing my face gently.
"I sure hope so, Tae." I whisper. He helps me fix a few stray pieces of my hair with a smile.
"Come on. We better get going before we're late and miss Kookie getting called up." Tae murmurs softly. Nodding my head, we both exit the bathroom and go into the auditorium where Jungkook's graduation is being held.
Finding our seats in the giant room, I bite my lip and rest my chin on Tae's shoulder. He wraps an arm around me, rubbing my side gently in a comforting way as we scan the kids dressed in their caps and gowns to try and find our boy. Though, it's not too hard when the tall boy suddenly starts waving his hand in our direction. I grin sheepishly with a small smile as Tae and I quickly begin waving back. He grins up at us, a happy and excited look on his face before happily sitting back down in his chair.
The ceremony soon begins and I watch on with a small smile. Time passes by more and more and it takes a while before they eventually get to Jungkook being called up. Though, they have to go through what feeling like hours of other people talking and tons of kids getting called up before Jungkook is finally called. Ignoring what the principal had asked us to do, Tae and I shout and scream and cheer for him. We both begin bursting out into laughter as we catch Jungkookie trying to hold in his own giggles whilst heading up to the stage that he's got to walk across. Tae and I both grin like proud idiots as we watch him go across and grab his diploma, clapping like crazy.
It takes a while for them to go through the rest of the kids in his graduating class, but after what feels like another million hours, everything finally finishes. With the principal giving a closing speech, everything comes to an end and everyone in the crowd begins to stand up. Biting my lip nervously, I turn to look over at Tae. He gives me an encouraging smile, patting my shoulder lightly before wrapping an arm around my waist to help lead me through the sea of people. I mentally groan, knowing he's only doing it for my own good considering I'd probably back out and run away scared like a little girl otherwise.
So, I let him drag me through everyone until we finally spot Jungkook. It's clear he's looking for us and I can't help the small smile that slips onto my lips as I see him. Tae gives me a light push and I sigh heavily, looking back at him with a sheepish smile before looking forward to the younger, now graduated, boy looking for us.
Shoving my hands into my pants pocket, my right hand plays around lightly with the small box inside of it as I look down. Slowly making my way to him, I smile up at him when I reach him. Jungkook grins down at me, wrapping his arms tightly around my waist as he pulls me into a hug. I giggle softly, wrapping my arms around his as well as I hug him back.
"Look at you, all grown up and graduated. You almost look like you've accomplished something big or something." I tease lightly, the younger chuckles with me.
"Thank you for coming today, Jiminie. Both you and Tae, it means a lot." Jungkook says softly, blushing lightly as he gives me a small smile.
"Of course, Jungkookie. We wouldn't have missed this for anything. Though, there's something important that I kind of need to ask you." I tell him, biting my lip once again. Jungkook tilts his head curiously, he smiles.
"What is it, Jiminie? Is everything okay?" Jungkook asks curiously, running a hand through my hair, causing me to give him a teasing glare. Taking a deep breath, I fumble with the box in my pocket for a minute before finally kneeling down. Looks down at me in confusion, even more curious than before.
"Jungkookie, I know we haven't been together super long and you just graduated, but... Will you marry me?" I ask nervously as I pull the box out and open it. Jungkook's eyes go wide, lips parting in surprise as he looks down at me. Though, it quickly curls into a smile as his eyes begin to water.
"Yes, Jiminie. Yes, of course."
