Jungkook POV
"Jiminie, I'm still staying with you. It's always been you, never once Tae." I tell him softly, eyes flickering between his in hopes that he actually believes me. His face falls for a moment, though twisting into confusion only seconds later as he looks up at me with glossy eyes.
"W-What do you mean?" Jimin asks quietly, voice small and scared as though he's just been threatened with the most important thing in his life. Hesitantly, I take a few steps forward towards him, hoping not to scare him off by my actions. He just watches in utter confusion though, not seeming to be able to comprehend a thing.
He really was prepared for me to leave him... The past really does leave more scars than those that are visible. And I know for certain that he's taken more scars than myself...
"Jiminie, I'm not leaving you. I could never do that to you. I have feelings for you. I like you and only you, baby. Taehyung was only ever a good friend to me. I never even once thought of him in that way." I respond, reaching up and gently brushing a piece of now sweaty hair back into place. His eyes glance between both of mine, searching for something, anything to prove that this isn't actually happening. That what I'm saying isn't true. However, I know perfectly well that he won't find anything. However, the tears start falling as he shakes his head.
"No. No, that doesn't make any sense. Why would you stick with me? Tae can give you so much more than I can. There's literally no reason for you to stay." Jimin says, clearly trying to reason with himself more than me.
"Hyung, please. Stop. You're making this harder on yourself when it's not necessary. I don't feel the same towards Taehyung the way I feel with you. I don't care if he has more free time than you. You're the one that makes me happy, Jiminie. You're the one that I could be around for eternity and never get tired of. Please, stop fighting this. I promise, I'm not lying to you. I would never do that." I tell him softly, reaching down to take his hand in mine before locking our fingers together. He looks back up at me, eyes full of tears but still wide. His already usually plump lips are jutted out a bit in a sweet pout to match his innocent look.
I can't believe he honestly thought I would leave him... And it kills me to know he's been damaged to the point of making this so difficult for himself...
"Promise?" Jiminie asks quietly, his voice a mere whisper as his lips tremble in attempt to hold back his cries. Giving him a small smile, I nod my head.
"Promise, Jiminie." I whisper softly. That's all it takes for him to finally break, arms wrapping tightly around me as he rests his head on my chest. I can feel the tears streaming down his cheeks and soaking my shirt, but it's the last thing I could possibly care about right now. Besides, he's already super sweaty which soaked through my shirt the instant he touched me. The only good thing is that this type of stuff doesn't really bother me. Instead, I wrap my arms around him just as tightly, rubbing his back gently as I whisper comforting words into his ear whilst attempting to console him.
"I thought I was gonna lose you." Jimin murmurs quietly as his tears finally begin to subside. I shake my head with a smile, running my fingers through his.
"You could never lose me, Jimin. Tae may have more time, but all I want is you." I say with a smile. He looks up at me with a small smile of his own before leaning up and pressing his lips gently against mine. Smiling into the kiss, I happily respond to it and move my lips in sync with his.
"How about if I stay for your lessons today? I can just hang out here and watch you while you work, and when you're finished we can go out and get dinner together. Would that be okay?" I suggest once we've pulled away again. He frowns up at me though.
"But, Jungkookie, that would mean that it'll cut into your schoolwork time." Jimin points out quietly. Pursing my lips, I shrug in response.
"That's okay. Life can't just revolve around school, right? Besides, we're all caught up aren't we? Your helping me with the same stuff they're learning in the classroom now, right?" I question. He nods silently in return.
"So, then it's no big deal. We can take a break for tonight and just relax instead. Besides, you need to relax and take care of yourself too. Not just be worried about taking care of me." I tell him with a small smile. He sighs, frowning up at me, clearly not having liked my response.
"Okay. If you wanna go out for dinner tonight after I get off work, then we can do that."
