15 minutes until school ends.

Jaemin's eyes were glued to the clock on the wall, listening to the steady ticking of the second hand. There was enough time to get a decent amount of work done but he just couldn't be bothered to do math homework right now. He wanted out as soon as possible, but time seemed to be moving at a ridiculously slow speed.

10 minutes.

He clicked his tongue, tapped his pencil on the desk and started bouncing his knee up and down. His mind wandered. 10 minutes is just 600 seconds. That's 100 seconds 6 times. I can get through 100 seconds...

5 minutes.

The class was beginning to pack up, and Jaemin heard the teacher snap something about the class not being over yet. No need to be so strict, but okay. Another reason why I hate math.

Any minute now....

He had packed up his binders and books, now sitting with his hands folded over his desk. As the bell sounded he stood abruptly and bolted towards the door with his bag slung over his shoulder. He didn't even bother saying a goodbye like he usually does, he just wanted to go home as soon as possible. Today had been an especially long day, and he could already hear his bed calling his name.

Jaemin practically sprinted—or moved as fast as he could without being yelled at—through the halls and down the stairs, not bothering to look up and weaving through the other streams of students that were exiting their classes. He took a sharp turn into the hallway his locker was in, when he collided head-on with someone else. Jaemin stumbled backwards, falling to the floor. He winced and placed his palm on his forehead, letting out a pained noise.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Are you okay?"

Jaemin looked up to see who he had crashed into. It was a boy, likely in his grade. He was small and skinny, with messy black hair that covered most of his eyes. He had a small face, with a skinny nose bridge and a slightly asymmetrical jaw. The boy's eyes and mouth were wide open in concern, and had a hand held out to help Jaemin up.

"No, it's fine. I wasn't looking where i was- fuck-" His hand pressed deeper into his forehead. The pain in his head worsened and his ears started to ring, probably because he was still recovering. But it hurt to the point where he had to close his eyes, and that's when he started to remember.

A/N:

ya boi jaemin is starting to remEmber huhauehaheuha

jk its not that big of a deal at first, and ofc he regains memories in between but i just write the ones significant to the plot. also the memories get more significant as the story goes on bc he eventually remembers it all,,,,, was that too much of a spoiler or did yall kno already

so the next part is a short flashback of him and renjun meeting for the first time; also flashbacks will be their own chapter and in italics to separate present reality from past events. just so yall dont get confused :)
