Chapter 16!

I woke up to the doctor talking to cai and neil. The doctor walked away before I could say anything.

"eh? What did he say you guys"

"lauren in the recovery room and will be back here in an a bit and the baby is in intensive care cause she a little unwieght and has breathing problem but she will be fine after a couple of weeks in the hospital." neil explained.

" so when can we see her and how much does she weight?" I said as I wiped my tears.

"any time you want but we can only go in two's and 5 pound 7 ounces."

As we was talkin they wheeled lauren's bed in she was still not awake after the surgery yet so me and cai left neil to get her changed so we went to see the baby and took the clothes.

We entered the intensive care room where the baby was, she was tiny and she looked like lauren. She had neils nose thou, her hair was light brown.

"hey, and you are?" the nurse asked.

" baby auntie plus her mom birthing partner and he's the baby's uncle"

" oh great, do you want to change her nappy and put clothes on her, her nappy need changing and she's abit cold"she asked.

I went out and rang neil first to see if it was okay.

"hey, baby nappy needs changing and she need clothes on, want me to wait for lauren to do it?"

" no don't be daft you do it, your her best auntie you do it we don't mind"

I heard lauren laugh and he put her on the phone.

" lauren, you sure you don't mind"

" I wouldn't want anyone eles doing it but you,do it please give her a kiss for me aswell" she laughed

I hung up and went back into the room and told the nurse I would do it, it was abit difficult cause she was so tiny and had tubes everywhere. She had a tube for her oxygen, a tube for her to be fed threw and a monitor with load of wire coming of for her pulse and oxygen levels. I put a pink premature baby grow on her that said 'me and mommy both love my daddy" it was so cute.

I give her a massive kiss and left her to go see if Lauren was alright. We got to lauren's bed. Her and neil was with a nurse, after the nurse had finished neil got up to go see the baby and he took cai with him for a manly chat.

" hey hun, you okay? How you feeling? What did the nurse say?" I asked.

"im fine, abit sore and the nurse came to see if I had the baby's name yet and told me everything that was happening with her"

"so what's the baby's full name? is she okay?"

"Lilly-May Alexis Bond"

"aw, you gave her my middle name how sweet, so how is she?" I said.

" she doing good, but will be in hoaptial for 3 week for them to keep an eye on her,she will have asthma when she gets older but she finding it a bit hard to breath on her own at the moment so she has oxygen"

I was happy and lauren would be discharged tommorow so that was good. Neil came back with a wheel chair to take lauren to see Lilly-May, so I told her me and cai was going back to hers to get some sleep and to make everything ready and clean up a bit.
