Leo's pov I ran up to Carter and tugged on his shirt. "What is it, Leo?" he asked. "Mummy needs a dress." "For what?" he laughed. "Your date!" I yelled. "Whoa, what date?" "The one that you said you and mum were going on," I said. I'm excited. Mummy and Carter sitting in a tree..uuhh....I forgot. "Mhm, I see," he said. He smiled and then walked out of the room.
Carter's pov I walked to Mikey's room and knocked on the door. Leo had followed me. "Come in," she said. "How would you like-" I started before Leo cutely interrupted. "Mummy! You and Carter are going on a date!" I love this kid. "Will you go on a date with me, Mikey?" I asked. "Yes, I would love to." "Okay, baby. Gotta get a dress, love." "Okay." "Can I pick it Mummy?" Leo asked. "Of course you can." "Yay!" "Haha," she said. "Go pick out something for mommy, Leo." "Otay!" He came back with a red dress that had black lace and black knee high boots to go with it. "That's so beautiful, Leo," I said.

~~~~~~time skip~~~~~~ Carter's pov We finished getting ready and I took Mikey to Tender Greens. "Do you like Tender Greens, Mikey?" "Well no shit, Sherlock." "Well okay then." We sit at our table and order our food. "So....." "Thank you." "Bitchsaywhat?" "Thank you. For being there for me and for existing." "Someone actually likes my existence?..." "No. I don't like your existence. I love it." "......." "You're perfect, Mikey." "Shit....I'm gonna cry." "Please don't, Kitten." She looked absolutely stunning tonight and I couldn't take my eyes off of her. I love her so much. "Heh I'll try." "Yay!" The food got there shortly after and we started to eat. "Is it good, love?" "Yeah." Why Don't You Get A Job by The Offspring started playing. Mikey began humming along and I couldn't help but giggle. "So...what are we doing after this?" "Well, since you asked, I thought maybe we could go to an amusement park." This wasn't just any normal visit to an amusement park. This was special. "Sounds fun." We finished our food and headed to the amusement park. When we got there, it was closed. "What are we pulling? An overnight?" I look at her nervously and then Elton, Sam, Colby, Corey, Jake, Aaron, Brennen, Kat, and Devyn jump out yelling surprise. Jake (Brennen's brother) and Kevin were filming everything. "PRINCESS CHIEF UNCLE ELTON!!!" she runs up and hugs him. I stare at everyone in shock. I hope tonight isn't a bust. "I haven't seen you guys in so long," she hugs everyone else. "I didn't know you knew each other. Uh....surprise!" "THIS IS THE BEST SURPRISE EVER!!!" "So, Elton. You wanna tell her what's going on?" "What?" Mikey said. "So, we have this place overnight. It's actually legal this time. We can do WHATEVER we want," Elton explained. "YES...but does anyone have some clothes I could change into?" Elton handed her a bag of clothes. "Carter gave these to us," Sam said. I smiled. "Go change, Kitten." Mikey went to the bathroom to change. She came back out in a t-shirt and some sweatpants. "You're so beautiful," I said walking up to her. I kissed her forehead and gave her a hug. "So what's first?" "Whatever you wanna do, baby." She thought for a moment. "Go karts?" "Let's go," we all said running to the go karts. We were all driving around the course trying to make each other spin. "LET'S MARIO KART THIS SHIT!" Everyone started screaming and driving after each other. I bumped into Jake causing him to spin and hit Aaron. Everyone started laughing. Mikey was in the lead, but what she doesn't know is that this is all a set up. Elton and the boys helped me plan something so special for Mikey. "And there goes Mikey pulling a silent Brian." She flipped us off. Mikey won and we all pulled up to put the go karts back. I wrapped my arms around her waist. "I'm unbeatable." "Yes you are, Kitten," I said hugging her. Elton winked at me from behind Mikey. "Who wants to go on the rollercoaster?" Corey asked. "I do! I do! I do!" Mikey said jumping around like a little kid. "Let's go!" Colby said. I whispered thank you to Corey and we all went to the rollercoaster. Mikey ran all the way to the rollercoaster. I ran after her. We all got strapped in and the rollercoaster took off. "WOOOOO!" I honestly hate rollercoasters, but Mikey is having fun so I don't care. "THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER." "I'm glad you're having fun, Kitten!" "Now what?" "What do you wanna do, baby girl?" "Food!" "I thought so," I said laughing. We went to get some food and sat for a bit. Mikey was on her phone texting someone while we ate. Elton nudged me. "M-Mikey?" "Yeah," she said glancing up from her phone. "Uh...I-" I was struggling to talk. I looked at the guys for help and they just nodded. "What is it?" I struggled for a second. "Look, I love you. You mean everything to me and I don't wanna lose you." I pulled the ring out of my pocket. "I want to give you this ring. It's a promise ring. I promise my love to you until the end of time. I didn't want it to be traditional, you know, hearts or whatever because I wanted you to be able to wear it anytime," I said holding out the ring. My hand was shaking. She didn't say anything and pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back. I pulled away and kissed her. She kissed me back and smiled. I put the ring on her right hand. "I love you, Mikey." "I love you too Carter." "We still have some time left. What do you wanna do?" I asked her. "I got to call my Dad. Leo had a nightmare..." I got worried. "Is he okay? Do you wanna go home?" "I don't know....please if you don't mind." I grabbed my keys. I took her hand and went to the car after saying goodbye to the Trap House. I sped home. We got out and headed inside. When Mikey opened the door Leo ran up to her crying and hugged her. "Hey...Hey it's okay. What happened?" She asked him running her fingers through his hair. He couldn't stop crying. I stood next to Mikey. She picked him up and softly sang 'Can't Help Falling In Love' to him. He calmed down after a while and fell back asleep. "Dad, did he say what his nightmare was about?" "No, he was crying too hard. That's why I messaged you." "Okay. I'm going to put him back to bed." She walked upstairs and took him to his room. I stood there with Jon waiting for Mikey. She came back downstairs. "I want to know what his nightmare was about." "So do I," Jon and I said at the same time. "I think I'm going to head to bed." "Goodnight, Kitten. I love you," I said kissing her cheek. "Night. I love you too." I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle. "MOM!" I heard Leo scream. I ran upstairs to his room. He was in the corner of the room shaking. Mikey ran in and ran over to him. "Leo, what's wrong?" I ran to him and kneeled beside Mikey. "Mum," was all he said. He kept repeating mum over and over. "Baby boy, you need to tell me what's wrong." He couldn't stop shaking. Is this what I look like when I have an episode? "Please, Leo. I need to know what's wrong." "Are you gonna leave, mommy?" "No! I'm not going anywhere. What made you think that?" "Dean left me..." Mikey sighs. "Well he's missing out on getting to hang out with the best kid ever. I'm never going to leave you Leo. I promise." She kissed his head and hugged him. He wiped his nose. "I love you, mommy." "I love you too, Leo." "Can I sleep with you tonight?" "Of course you can." Leo and Mikey walked to her room and I followed closely behind. "Want to watch some Doctor Who?" Leo nodded.
Leo's pov I laid with mum and watched Doctor Who. Carter sat in the chair in the corner. I noticed that mum had fell asleep. Carter was still awake. "You okay, Leo?" he asked. "Yeah." He nodded. "Why don't you try and get some sleep?" "I have a question." "Yes?" "Are you going to be my new Dad?" "Oh. Um, I honestly don't know. I'd love to, but that's up to you and your mom." "I want you to. You're the first person that mum is dating that I actually like." "Well thank you, Leo. I'm trying my best to make sure your mom is happy. Listen, I'll be back in a minute, okay?" "Okay."
Brian's pov It was 4:00 in the morning when I heard a knock on my door. I groaned as I got up and answered it. "Can I help you?" I asked rubbing my eyes. I could hear Carter sniffling. "What's wrong!?" He hugged me. "I love you, Dad." I felt my eyes water. "I love you too." I hugged him back. "I'm so sorry," he said in between sobs. "For what?" "Leo had a n-nightmare and he was in a corner rocking and c-crying and shaking. He just reminded me of myself. Dad, I was s-scared. Were you ever scared?" "Yeah." "H-how scared?" "Very. Especially, if you don't know what could happen." "I'm so sorry." "It's okay Carter." "Dad, I didn't mean to scare you...." "Carter it's okay really." "Dad, I can't breathe." "Stay calm. Breathe with me." We both slowly breathed in and out. "You're the best," he said. "I'm sorry for waking you up. Goodnight." "It's okay. Goodnight." I shut the door and got back in the bed.
Carter's pov I walk back into Mikey's room and Leo is asleep. I put the blanket over him and get into bed beside Mikey. Mikey woke up a little but went back to sleep. I pulled her against me and fell asleep. ~~~~~~time skip~~~~~~ We woke up to Leo jumping on the bed. I heard Mikey laughing as she grabbed Leo and started to tickle him. He started giggling and I sat up. I kiss Mikey's cheek. "Good morning, beautiful. Good morning, Leo." "Morning." Jon and my dad walked in. "Hey, breakfast is ready," Jon said. "Okay." "Carter, are you okay?" Brian asked. I nodded. Mikey looked confused. "I'll talk to you about it later, Kitten." I picked Leo up. "C'mon, baby girl." Mikey gets up as we walk downstairs. I put Leo down and he runs to the couch. We all grabbed plates and start eating. "This is good." "Mhm," I mumbled. "Is it good, Leo?" "Yeah!" I laughed. We finished eating and I took everyone's plates to the sink. "What are we going to do today?" "What do you want to do?" "I don't know. Leo, what do you want to do today?" "I no know." "Well, think of something. Carter, can we talk now?" "Absolutely, Kitten. Let's go in the other room." We walked into the other room. "What did Brian mean earlier when he asked if you were okay?" "Last night when Leo had his nightmare it just reminded me of myself. It was scary as hell. Then Leo said he wanted me to be his dad because he actually likes me and I couldn't help but go to my dad last night. I cried for a bit and almost had an episode, but he calmed me," I explained. She was silent for a minute. "I didn't think he would actually ask you that." "Neither did I. I froze." "Leo, can you come here for a minute?" He came in the room and looked up at Mikey. "So what did you ask Carter last night?" "I asked if he was gonna be my new dad, Mommy." "You really want him to?" He nodded. Mikey smiled. I teared up. He walked up to me and hugged me. "Now I'll have a Dad that I know won't leave me." "I would never ever leave, Leo," I said to him. "I know....Dad." I started to cry. I picked him up and hugged Mikey. "I love you both so much." "I love you too, Carter." "So do I, Dad." Jon walked in the room. "What's going on?" he asked. Mikey didn't say anything. She just smiled. "Grandpalirious, I have a dad!" Leo said excited. "And who might that be?" He pointed to me and I smiled. Del smiled. "Jon, can you go get my dad?" I asked. He nods as he goes to get Brian. "Dad?" "Yeah?" "I'm a dad!" I said excited. He smiled. I put Leo down and picked up Mikey. I kissed her and spun around kinda like you see in the movies. She giggled. "I love you, Mikey." "I love you too, Carter." "Do you guys wanna go out to eat tonight?" "Yeah." "Where should we go?" "I don't know." "Well, you have until the end of the day. Just let me know." "Okay."
