chapter 21

InSu POV

Oh my god Tao!! I was in shock that no words were formed. He got in a accident!  My heart sank as I saw him lying down on the hospital bed with banddages. No InSu hes nobody to u! Hes just a stranger who got in a car accident and u have to take care of him. I did a quick check up and left for my other patients. It was my break time so I went to grab some coffee. "Hey u ok" Taeyeon asked. "Ill be lying if I say yes." "Whats wrong?" I told her about Tao being my new patient. "NO WAY!!" "Yup, the man who broke my heart 5 years ago is here." "is he awake?" "No hes still out cold. I dont know what to do. I know its terrible for me to say this but I wish he gets memory loss." "InSu!" "I dont want him to remember me. It took me awhile to get over him." "Look this is ur workplace. He cant distract u." "Ok." "I have to go. Ill see u after work." "Ok! Thanks!" I made my rounds on checking up on my patients and I msde it to my last one: Mr. Panda. I opened the door and saw him awake. "InSu" he said with his soft voice. I took a deep breath and said, "I see ur awake Mr. Huang. Hows ur head?" "InSu what-" "please call me Dr. Kang." "What happened to me." I didnt dare to look into those eyes. "U were in a car accident this morning. Now do u feel any pain anywhere?" "In my head and all over my body. InSu." "Please call me Dr. Kang and ill call them to take u for some tests." I stood up and headed for the door until I heard him say,"I missed u." I stopped as my heart sank deeper. No dont turn around! I just continued walking and walked out. I got them to take him for some tests as I was in my office wanting to scream. Why must he be back right when I dont need him? Tao POV

I woke up and the light slashed my vision. I squinted my eyes trying to make out where I was. Hospital. The memory swam into my mind, turning right until this idiot ran into me. I wanted to move but the pain prevented it. The door opened and the doctor walked in. It took me a second since my head hurts to realize who the doctor was, "InSu." She was shocked as well but suddenly she just acted a regular old doctor. It was like we never met, like we're strangers. She called me Mr. Huang! She never called me that before, but I dont blame her. Before she left I got courage to say,"I missed u." She stopped and I wanted her to turn around. I wanna see that beautiful face. But she left. I shouldn't have said that, I broke her heart.  I dont deserve her. But I still love her.

InSu POV

Weeks passed and Tao wad recoverying slowly. I walked towards his room for his check up. I slowly opened the door and saw a man and a woman inside. "Oh hello are u with Mr. Huang" I asked. "Yes, we're his parents" the man said. I gulped. "How is he" his mother asked. "Because of the impact from the car the recovery period will be long but he is showing grest progress." "What about his legs?" "The legs are terribly injured. Once he is able to leave the hospital he will be in a wheelchair until they heal and he will have to go to physical therapy." "Ok thank u uhh Dr. Kang." "Ur welcome." I bowed down and walked out of the room before anyone hears my heart beating. His parents. I walked back to my office and got started to work. *KNOCK KNOCK* the heard someone knocking. "Come in" I saod out loud not looking as the door opened. "Who is-" I saw Tao's mom standing there. "Mrs. Huang, how may I help u?" "Are u busy dear?" "No, please sit down. Ill make us some tea." I came back with two cups of tea. "Thank u dear." "Ur welcome, how may I help u? Are u wondering about Mr. Huang's health?" "Dear...I know that u and Tao used to date." "Oh...he told u?" "Yes. When we came to visit him he said u were his doctor. When he moved back to China he talked about u and showed us pictures of u. He would go on and on about how u two met and started to date." "Mrs. Huang, I know ur son and I had a history but that was in the past and now he's just my patient." "He never stopped missing u. I know he just left u but its mine and my husband's fault. We needed Tao to move back home so we can learn to run the business. We needed him to come back, but he refused to. Once he did we realized we broke u two apart." "Mrs. Huang it was all in the past." She gently grabbed my hand and held it. "Im sorry InSu. Well I should go my husbands probably waiting for me. It was nice to meet u." "I-It was nice to meet u too Mrs. Huang." She gave me a kind smile and left. I rushed into Tao's room. "InSu" he was surprised to see me. " "A letter? U break up with me in a damn letter?! U couldn't say it infront of my face?" "I didnt have the heart to tell u." "And u think ill be thankful that u decided to break up with me in a letter?!" "I didnt have a choice-" "no Tao I know why u left. We could've talked and work things out but I guess u were the powerful one in the relationship." "Did u find someone else." "Yea I did and im still with him. Chen is my boyfriend now." "Im glad ur happy." "I am so dont worry about me." I walked out slamming the door. I went home and cried until I fell asleep.
