It was as if he had seen his whole life burst before his very own eyes.
He never expected something so terrible to happen to him. To have giants attack his tribe, his loved ones, his home.
He grasped his beloved father's blade and slashed a giant dead.
The men of his village were strong, equally compared to as giants, perhaps as giant as their invaders.
His eyes caught the sight of two men, men who were as giant as the others, but men with faces more grimy unlike their fellow sallow faces.
As he galloped to attack a sallow face, his vision became hazy. And soon enough, he collapsed.
"Jordanes!" a faint cry awoke him. He was no longer fighting, but being dragged by the sallow faces. He saw that there were few sallow faces and caught the eyes of the grimy men, along with other sallow faces, tied together. They had been defeated. But so had he.
"Jordanes!" the cry appeared again. He recognized that voice. It belonged to the one who gave him his life, his mother.
"Mama!" he screamed. Tears fell down his golden face.
"Mama!" he cried again, being dragged farther and farther away.
He no longer saw his mother in his sight, or his tribe, or the remaining sallow faces. He was now being dragged into darkness. Where were they going to take him? What would become of him?
