Jordanes was tugged off the ship by a silvery ghost of a man. As he was lead through the crowd, the old man froze, calling out a name.

An aged woman and two other women behind her stood in front of him.

His eyes caught the sight of the younger of the women. He was amazed by her beauty. She had seemed to be more striking than the other women he saw in the crowd.

She shrieked at the old man in a language he could fairly understand.

Suddenly she fell to the ground. He swiftly lifted her up, the middle yeared woman stared at him with wide eyes.

"Who are you?" the woman asked.

"A German man boy we captured. Planning on agonizing him to tell us what they will do to our men." he said.

"Please. I won't hurt her, may I carry her to shelter?" he asked.

The woman stared at him, as if she was a bear and he was to harm her precious cub.

"I will watch you, boy." she growled. They did not trust him, and he did not feel like they should have trusted him. His people took their loved ones, and he knew he deserved to be punished.

The old man led them to a hut. Jordanes gently laid the maiden down on the cot.

"Do not try to harm her boy!" the man said as he left the room with the women.

His eyes couldn't stare at anything else. He was amazed by her striking beauty. He never looked upon a more bewitching woman before, even though most of the women in his tribe were very sensual. But the women were not as bewitching as her.

A breathe escaped her. Her eyes began to open, and pools of clouded evergreen stared into his eyes.

Her eyes were full of rage. She swiftly arose and grabbed him, pointing a dagger at his apple.

"Who are you? Are you one of them?" she asked furiously. Jordanes stared at her in shock.

"Are you one of the men who took my father and grandfather? Tell me!" she shrieked. The man and women sprinted into the room, the woman grasping the wild girl and the man grasping Jordanes.

"What happened boy?" he asked calmly.

"She attacked me. Please, I did not lay a hand on her." Jordanes gasped. The girl squirmed in the women's arms.

"I am sorry. She is a fierce one. Tóra, he means no harm to you." the man said.

She stopped squirming and tears fell from her eyes.

He had been attacked before, even by a woman, but none where like her.

And this excited Jordanes.
