New day,new plans.The night before I stayed up for hours trying to find a way to spend time with Perrie without having to sneak in.I had to earn the nurses' trust so they would let me in.

I got out of bed quickly,got changed and went to the cafeteria to meet the others.They were all sitting at the same table as always,chatting.

"Hello guys."I greeted taking a seat next to Leigh."What's up?"

"Watch out!"Grace warned and threw an apple flying at me.

"Grace,what even?!"I asked,my heart skipping a beat.Luckily the apple didn't hit me but it flew inches away from my ear.

"Timmy wanted to hit you."She pointed somewhere behind me I guess.I turned my head away and there was no one standing behind nor next to me."Oh for fucks sake Timmy,leave me alone!"I fake-snapped at Grace's imaginary friend.I had to get out of that hell before losing my mind too.

"Well isn't Timmy one motherfucker?"Jesy laughed stuffing her mouth with food.

We carried on with our conversation about random things when I noticed a certain blonde walking in the room and going to the vending machine.That was my chance to get in touch with her.I got up quickly and went straight to her.I could hear the others calling for me but I decided to ignore it.

"Hey!"I waved at her,getting in her way.She looked frightened and she placed her hand on her chest,closing her eyes and breathing deeply."I scared you,I'm sorry."I apologised and she nodded.

"Did they let you out?"She nodded,looking around then trying to pass by me.I rested my hand on the wall,blocking her way."Hey why are you rushing?"I asked confused.

She looked around again,scratching her arm anxiously.She pointed to the vending machine then to the exit door.It took me a while to figure out"You are only allowed to get some food?"I asked,hoping I was wrong.She nodded and my heart dropped."You know the vending machine only has some snacks.You need proper food,don't you?"I scanned her from head to toe and she seemed kind of skinny.Not as skinny as I was but still skinny.

Her expression saddened and she pointed to her mouth.She meant she couldn't order anything from the cafeteria since she couldn't speak."Right.Come with me."I grabbed her hand and made her follow me to where the food was.

"What would you like to eat?"

She looked a bit uneasy at first but then she pointed to the mashed potatoes.And then to some meat,probably fried chicken that looked nothing like chicken though."Anything else?"She shook her head.

I went to tell the serving lady what Perrie would like to have and within a couple of minutes she handed me the tray with food.I also asked for some orange juice.

"Here."I handed Perrie the tray and she almost licked her lips at the sight of the food.But then she almost dropped a plate.There were two plates on the tray along with bread and a box of juice.I grabbed one of the plates and told her I'll help.She refused shaking her head and stopping from walking.

"C'mon Perrie don't be stubborn."

At this point she was shaking her head frantically and when I turned around I bumped into a nurse.

"And where are you going miss Thirlwall?"She asked shooting glares at both Perrie and I.

"I was helping Perrie get this food in her room."I said showing her the plate I was holding.

"You can't go on this hallway.Miss Edwards is still on probation."She said sternly,grabbing Perrie by the arm.

"But you said I could talk and be friend with anyone from this section.Why is Perrie an exception?"I raised an eyebrow,getting a boost of confidence.

The nurse sighed,letting go off Perrie."You want to spend time with a murdered?Fine.We have enough space in the garden to bury your body after she will have finished her business with you."She spat in my face leaving.Perrie wasn't there anymore.

My jaw dropped at her words but I didn't trust her anyway.She probably made up shit to keep me away from Perrie.I rolled my eyes and spotted Perrie ahead of me,in front of her room door.

We went into her room and I placed the food on her bed."I guess I can stay a bit more now."She gave me a confused look"The nurse say I can do whatever I want."She smiled and dug in.

"So you don't speak at all?"I asked playing with my hair while she was still eating.I looked at her and she looked up shaking her head."It's always been like this?"She looked down this time and shook her head slightly.

I got intrigued and sat on the bed right in front of her,only the tray between us now."So you could talk before?"She refused to answer but she pointed at me."What about me?"

She filled the spoon with mashed potatoes and brought it close to my mouth."Oh no thanks."I refused it politely but she didn't give up.In fact,she brought it even closer to my mouth.I could smell the mashed potatoes and they smelled pretty good."What are you doing?I don't eat."I explained hoping she'll give up this time.

She furrowed her eyebrows still holding the spoon in front of me.She held up one finger and pointed to the spoon then she held up one finger again and pointed to herself."I don't get it.

She tried again this time pointing at the spoon and me and then to herself and to her mouth.She opened it but of course nothing came out."If I eat one spoon you what?"

She rolled her eyes clearly annoyed"Hey sorry,I am really trying."I laughed.She seemed a bit amused."Wait!One spoon means one answer?"I managed to figure out minutes later,minutes after both of us had racked our brains.

"Ugh I wish but I can't."I sighed looking away.She nodded,pushing the spoon further into my direction."No Perrie,seriously."She literally placed the spoon on my lips,forcing it into my mouth.The taste invaded my senses and it was heavenly.I hadn't expected it to be so good.She smiled,showing me how to chew.

"I'm not that stupid I know how to chew."I laughed and swallowed the food."Okay now you have to answer me.You could talk before?"

She filled the spoon again and nodded."What made you go mute?"She brought the spoon to my mouth again.I rolled my eyes and made myself swallow it.She looked around and shrugged."Huh?This place?"She nodded.

She titled her head and made me eat one more spoon of mashed potatoes.Right when she was about to retrieve the spoon out of my mouth a nurse walked in.

"Thirlwall?You're making progress.That's good.So our films are helpful."

I shook my head,getting up."Your films are rubbish.Perrie made me eat some mashed potatoes but that's all."I sassed.She looked over to Perrie."Is that so?"Perrie nodded.

"You're given the access to come here.But we'll give you a schedule and if you regress you will have to stay away.Progress means visits,regress means prohibition.Understood?"I nodded.They were using any ways they could,it was pathetic.

"Now get out."She ordered.

"Bye Perrie."I waved goodbye and walked out.At least I had got what I needed most.Time with Perrie.I had to tell Jesy this and start my plans of exposing the nurses.
