"So she is just going to let you in whenever you want?"

I shook my head"There's gonna be a schedule.Like visit hours,I guess?"I explained to Jesy. She found it weird that the nurses didn't make a fuss out of it.

"Alright then you've got what you wanted. My job is done here."

"Oh no miss Nelson, your job here is far from being done.I still don't know why Perrie is given a special treatment and also...the nurse called her a murderer. Now I am not saying that I'm taking their word for granted but what if..."I sighed, feeling disappointed that I was doubting Perrie.

"Hmm...Man,when I said I was bored and wanted to do something fun I was so not talking about solving mysteries."The ginger pouted and I rolled my eyes. She was being just dramatic.

"Ugh Leigh turned you into a dramatic diva too?"I sassed receiving a pinch.

Jesy and I were still mocking each other when one of the nurses, this time it was Abigail, came over to us and handed me a sheet.I grabbed it and took a look.It was the schedule.

"As we promised"She stated.I nodded, tucking it in my pocket.

"Holy crap. There must be a catch."Jesy whispered in awe when Abigail left.

"There isn't.And I am too busy right now anyway.I have an idea how to communicate more properly with Perrie."

I got up from the table and went into my room.I checked the schedule and after also checking the clock in the cafeteria,I could go see the blonde in about 45 minutes.I took my journal out and ripped a few pages off.I put them in my pocket and I shoved a pen up my sleeve. We weren't allowed to have any sharp objects around and the pen might have been considered sharp.

When it was time for the visit I left my room smiling and heading to Perrie's.I had to go through the cafeteria to get there and I also noticed it was lunch time so I stopped by and grabbed a tray of food.

"Knock Knock!"I sang,waiting for Perrie to open the door."Hey it's me,Jade!"

A few seconds later the door opened, revealing a smiling blonde standing right in front of me.She waved at me shyly making me smile even wider."Hi!I brought you some food."I placed the tray on the bed as Perrie closed the door after me and came to sit on the edge of the bed.

"I also brought these."I took out the papers and the pen.She looked at me confused."So I thought that instead of spending hours on guessing what you're trying to tell me,you could simply just write it down."

She shook her head and bit her bottom lip anxiously, hiding her hands by covering them with the jumper's sleeves.

"What's wrong?"I furrowed my brows in confusion.

She pointed to the pen then shrugged.I was still confused so I handed it to her, thinking she wanted it.She shook her head again.

"Oof,see?Sometimes I just don't get what you are trying to tell me."

She rolled her eyes and took the pen from me.I handed her one paper and she placed it on her knee, struggling to hold the pen.She was struggling a lot with writing something down then she just stopped, brushed her hand through her hair and pointed at the paper in frustration.

I bent over a bit to see what she had written but all I could make out were just some odd lines,no proper writing.

"You're telling me you don't know how to write?"I asked in shock.

She shrugged her shoulders and held up 4 fingers."Oh right. In four years in here they haven't let you write?Or draw?"

She shook her head and pushed the instruments away, pulling only the tray closer to her.She started eating and tapped the spot in front of her for me to sit on.I complied and I knew that she was going to try and make me eat with her.

"I don't really have any questions for today so I don't need to eat that."

She titled her head and gave me a simpatethic smile. She swallowed really hard and took a lot of air in"Ple...ease?"She croaked out,her voice cracking midword. My jaw dropped and I must've made a really weird face that she gave me the biggest smile ever.

"Are you kidding me?You just said something! How are you not as surprised as I am?!"I said feeling so many emotions overcoming me at the same time.I realised I looked pathetic and tried my best to stay composed.

She shrugged her shoulders and pointed to her throat."Hurts."She said again in a very raspy voice.I nodded."So when you talk your throat hurts?"She nodded, massaging her throat slightly."Have you talked to anyone else in here before?"She shook her head this time.

A smile creeped on my face. She trusted me.Out of all people in there she chose to talk to me.

"Shall we tell the nurses? It is kind of a progress, isn't it?"I suggested but for some reason she started shaking her head frantically and a few tears made their way down her cheeks. She was having a panic attack so I pulled her into my arms and started rocking her back and forth while cooing softly in her ear."It's okay,we won't tell anyone then. It's our secret and I promise I won't say a word to anyone."I promised, feeling bad for giving her a panic attack.

Before I finished all I had to say I noticed that Perrie had fallen asleep in my arms.Good thing we were already on her bed so all I had to do was lift her feet on the bed and pull her up a bit so her head could rest on the pillow."Sweet dreams."I whispered grabbing my things and the empty tray and walking out.
