Tick... tock,
Tick... tock,
Hear that?
Hours turn to minutes,
Minutes to seconds.
Tick... tock,
Again?
Take a peek at the clock,
It's nearly midnight!
Oh the joy!
Of another day,
Another chance,
To rejoice,
To be hopeful!
Of the possibilities of tomorrow.
To listen to the birds chirping,
To feel the rain on your skin,
To write another chapter to your story,
To paint another portrait of today.
Tick... tock,
Oh, no!
Do you hear that?
It's your chance to go ahead,
To keep moving forward.
Face more dreadful imbeciles in your paths,
Learn a lesson or two,
Seek comfort in evolving,
To the meaning of what holds the future.
