You were but the stars shining in the night sky,
Cause without you,
Nothing but darkness engulfed me.
Slowly you lost your flicker in me,
And slowly,
You became one with the darkness.
Oh how I've tried to keep a bright perception,
Of how we were,
But of the impossible, you have asked.
I've learnt that Impossibility,
Only has power if there is no alternate solution,
In a world full of wonder,
Impossibility serves the weak.
And so I pledged to myself,
A promise to my future self,
Nothing is impossible,
If you try your hardest.
No regrets from the past,
Living in the now.
