I fluttered my eyes open to see myself on one couch, Destiny on the other, and Zach on the floor. They were still asleep, so I got up and tiptoed my way to the kitchen. I decided to make a nice breakfast for them, even though I didn't cook often. I looked in the pantry and saw pancake mix. Perfect. I went to the fridge and grabbed a carton of eggs. I made the batter and scrambled the eggs in the bowl. I started pouring some batter over the griddle to create little silver dollars. Once I had around 12 of those cooked, I poured the egg mixture onto a pan. It started sizzling loudly and I was worried it would wake them. Once that was cooked, I took it off the burner and started preparing plates.

I took the three plates into the living and set them on the coffee table. I decided to wake Zach up first.

"Zach, wake up.", I said, gently shaking him.

"Noo.", he groaned.

"I made breakfast!", I said cheerily.

"Is it pizza?", he grumbled.

"No, it's real breakfast food.", I replied.

"Then I'm not getting up.", he said.

I leaned over and kissed his cheek, and he bolted up.

"I'm up, I'm up!", he yelled, waking Destiny.

"What's going on?", she mumbled.

"I made breakfast, guys! Let's show some more enthusiasm!", I said, overly cheery.

We all sat on the couches, eating the pancakes and eggs, not saying a word.

"That was good. Thanks, babe.", Zach said, getting up, kissing my cheek, and walking into the kitchen with his empty plate. I could feel the intense heat growing on my face. Did he just call me babe?

"Uh, what was that?", Destiny whispered to me, smirking.

"I don't know.", I said, still blushing.

"Well, I'll let you two figure yourselves out.", she said, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Thanks for letting me stay the night, Zach. Melanie, I need to catch you again before you leave.", she said.

"Of course. I'll see you later, Destiny!", I yelled.

She left the apartment, so now it was just me, Zach, and the awkward silence.

"Go get dressed. I'm taking you out.", Zach said out of nowhere.

"Like a date?", I asked, raising one eyebrow.

"Only if you want it to be. But keep it casual.", he said, smirking.

"Oh, you teasing robot.", I said, walking to the bathroom to get changed. I decided on a casual flowy dress with a pair of Keds. I walked out of the bathroom to see Zach on the couch in a random tee with a hoodie over it.

"You look amazing.", he said, getting up.

"You look average.", I said, smiling.

He grabbed my hands and we kissed. Same fireworks going off as last time, same passion and meaning. Every kiss we shared was perfect, and I never wanted those moments to end.

But we eventually pulled away and leaned our foreheads on each other's.

"So, what are we?", I asked, kind of killing the mood.

"Whatever you want us to be.", he smiled.

"Well, that doesn't help.", I laughed.

"Would you like to be my girlfriend?", he asked.

"Hey, that's your best idea yet!", I exclaimed.

"So...yes?"

"Yes, you silly robot.", I answered, and we kissed again.

When we parted ways, I asked him my signature question.

"Zach?", I asked, getting lost in his eyes.

"Yea?"

"Am I dreaming?"

"No, but right now it seems that way. It seems like reality is just as good as our dreams at night, huh?", he asked and smiled.

"I'm glad you understand me.", I said, hugging him.

"I'm glad I understand you, too.", he replied.

Zach was right. Reality felt just as good as your dreams, when you are with the right person. I thought I was dreaming when I was with Jordan, but now I know that this is love.

It felt like I was really dreaming, reality was just that great.
