Okay so I suppose this chapter is a little wonky and boring, but oh well. Hope you guys enjoy it anyway :p

The first thing I did this morning when I got to class was give Mrs. J my finished video. All the replies from Youtube are great so far, so I'm pretty confident in this video, but still nervous to show my unfairly attractive professor my work. Thank you, Raylin. She says absentmindedly and takes the USB from me. Okay? I take my seat and start messing around on my sketchpad to get ideas for character names and what exactly is going to happen in my comic. I pay attention once I hear Mrs. J's voice drifting over the chatter in the class. Apparently this class is going to involve more theory. Textures, shades, shadows, light, blah blah blah. I've been doing those things from grade 10 and I completed this semester before, so I continue with my comic.

Animation class passed fast. My Starbucks shift was rather busy and I made some good tips which is great considering I have Saturday off. So to say the least my Friday was pretty boring, but at least I figured out what my comic was going to be about. And I honestly don't know why I struggled finding what it's going to be about, because I just ended up usuing my ex band as a reference. Obviously with different characters though and the band had powers.

I went to bed feeling quite successful and I woke up on Saturday afternoon, which is a reasonable time for me. And really was planning on just binging Supernatural on netflix the entire day, but those plans were interrupted when there was a small knock on my door. I open it to reveal Bandit.

"Bandit, hi?" I question feeling rather awkward. She gives me a little wave.

"Mommy said I should call you over." She whispers. I am really tempted to say no, but I feel that would be rude.

"Yeah, okay just hang on." I say and walk back into my room to grab my phone. "Okay, let's go." I make my way to the kitchen once more, but this time with the younger Way.

"Afternoon, Raylin." Lindsey greets she says looking up from her sketchbook. She's already dressed while her husband still looks like he has pushed his finger into a plug.

"Hi." I greet shortly. Not that I am trying to sound rude, but I'm not a good conversation starter. Gerard still seems to be lost in his own world. I decide to make a rather bold move for me and poke him on the upper arm. "Afternoon."

"Oh, Raylin, mornin-I mean hi, afternoon." He mumbles and runs his free hand over his face.

"So, how are you finding it here so far?" Lindsey asks a smile tugging at her lips.

"It's nice, peaceful." I say thinking for a moment. "Yeah I really like it here."

"I'm happy to hear that." She says with a smile. And a silence falls over the room.

"So, uh, if I may ask, what did you call me for?" I ask carefully.

"We're having a barbecue in a hour or so and we were wondering if you wanted to join." Lindsey asks.

"I wouldn't want to impose." I say softly.

"Nonsense, it's no trouble." She says and laughs heartily.

"Okay, if you say so"I reply and smile back. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"You can help with the salads later?" She offers.

"Yeah, okay, I'm not the best cook, but I surely can't mess that up." I say jokingly.

"We'll find something else if you do, maybe you can help Gerard somewhere outside then." She suggests.

"Well, with the way he's still sleeping on his feet I'd say that's a given." I grin. I really like Lindsey she's cool.

"Gerard, I think you should go freshen up." Lindsey suggests, "Our friends will be arriving in the next half an hour." He checks the watch hanging above the stove.

"Shit!" He exclaims and downs his coffee before rushing in the direction of what I'm guessing is the bathroom.

"Language!" Lindsey calls after him with a chuckle. "I swear oneday Bandit is gonna drop a curse word and I'm gonna string him up by the hears."

"Ouch, that's gonna hurt." I say giving a small laugh.

"Yeah, but luckily B knows not to say those words." She grins and turns to Bandit who has been silent this entire time. She just gives a little nod.

"Okay, let's start with the salads!" Lindsey exclaims and closes her sketchpad. "Can I put you on greek salad duty?"

"Yeah, sure." I say and grin.

"Cool, just make sure to take the vegan cheese." She informs me and I nod. We both start working on our separate salads and a silence falls over us. Not uncomfortable though. I'm about half way finished with the salad when she speaks up again. "You know, I still can't shake off the feeling that I've seen you somewhere before." I swallow the lump that suddenly formed in my throat.

"Well, I used to be in the music industry for a while." I say focusing very hard on cutting the cherry tomatoes.

"Really, what did you do?" She asks interested.

"I, uh, was a guitar player." I admit feeling the lump form again.

"Okay, great," She smiles "another person who can help us beat Frank and Ray in Guitar Hero."

"Oh, I'm not-" I start but she cuts me off.

"Speaking of Frank, nice shirt." She compliments looking down at my shirt. I follow her gaze and blush. Fuck I forgot I was wearing my 'Frankie say Xanax' shirt.

"Uh, thanks." I say feeling embarrassed. Before Lindsey can say anything else Gerard walks back in looking less dead.

"Nice shirt, Raylin." He comments with a smile. My cheeks heat up all over again.

"Thanks, can we forget about my shirt though?" I ask feeling awkward.

"You like Frank's music?" He asks throwing me a cheeky smile. I focus on finishing the apple bits for the salad so I don't have to look at him.

"Yeah, his music is good." I reply and mix all the ingredients together.

"What other bands are you into." He continues prying. I can literally feel him grinning behind my back. Fucker.

"Oh, you know Twenty one pilots, Panic! At the disco, Black Veil Brides those kinds of bands." I say purposely leaving out MyChem just to see if he's doing what I think he's doing.

"That's cool, any other cool bands?" He asks smugly. I turn around to face him and sure enough he's grinning like cheshire cat.

"Like?" I ask trying to sound clueless.

"Oh my god you guys are five." Lindsey laughs. "Stop fishing for compliments, Gee maybe she doesn't know MyChem." She throws him with a cloth.

"Hey, it's worth a shot, Lyn-Z." He says dragging the Z out. They have this weird intimate staredown across the kitchen and I speak up before anything more fangirl worthy happens.

"Yeah, fine, I know MyChem." I admit feeling like an idiot, but instead of them kicking me out I hear Lindsey mutter a damn and Gerard whooping.

"You owe me ten bucks Linds!" He exclaims and grins at her.

"Yeah, yeah." She mutters and hands him ten dollars.

"You guys made a bet?" I ask gaping.

"Yup." Is the only reply I get. I grin at them, but that soon changes to a giggle.

"You guys are dorks." I say and grin at them.

"We know." They reply in unison.
