So, welcome to chapter three I hope this one is okay. Anyway enjoy reading :3
"Wow, he really has a nice little place, doesn't he?" My mother compliments as we pull up to the house.
"If little is what you're going for, okay." I mumble. The house is actually quite large. Not a mansion or anything, but still larger than the average house. I get out and walk up to the front door. I take a deep breath and press the buzzer. To be honest I still find it weird that Gerard Way is the person opening the door.
"Hey there," he greets and stretches out a hand holding what I assume are my keys. here are your keys.
"T-thanks." I stutter and take them. He exits the house, closing the door behind him. He makes his way over to my mom's car. She gets and greets Gerard, the two of them making a bit of small talk. "Mom, I'm going to start unpacking." I inform her and open the boot.
"Okay, Honey, I'll help in a second." My mother replies and continues talking to Gerard.
A little bit later
It took the three of us about fourty five minutes to unpack the car. My mother said her farewells after that to let me settle in. "Thanks again, Mr. Way." I say shyly.
"Gerard, please," he says nonchalantly, "and it's no problem."
"Okay then, G-gerard." I stutter. An awkward silence settles in the room.
"Well, uh, I'll leave you to get settled in," he shrugs, "and you're welcome to meet my daughter and wife later."
"Thanks, I'll come around later." I mutter and start opening a box labeled 'kitchen.' Gerard says a quiet farewell and exits closing the door behind him. I start by putting away the food in the mini fridge and packing my plates and cups away. Later I move over and cover the bed. I pack my books and art supplies on the desk at the foot of my bed and hang my clothes in the closet which is situated next to the bed. Once everything is in their place I look at my guitars and amp which are still laying on the the bed. I glance around the room, though there isn't really much space left. And if I'm being honest I'd prefer if those guys were out of my direct line of sight. I am just about to give up finding a spot when a bare corner behind my front door catches my attention. "That will have to do." I mutter to myself with a sigh.
After everything is in it's place I stand back and survey the apartment. I give a small nod of approval before plugging my drawing tablet in at my desk and taking a seat. I set up my laptop and speakers and put on some music before deciding that I want to continue working on my music video for Burn Bright.
An hour later I had moved from my desk to my bed opting for my earphones instead of my speakers. I am honestly so immeresed in my video making that I didn't notice Gerard was trying to get my attention until he put his hand on my shoulder. Which brought me out of my concentration induced trance, but also scared the living shit out of me. I slam my tablet down onto my bed screen first hoping to god that he didn't see what I was working on. That would have been a absolute train smash. I mean it's not like the video is Frerard or something at all. Pff. I take out my earphones.
"Y-yes?" I stutter looking at him like a deer caught in the headlights of a huge possibly judgemental car. That judgemental car being being Gerard.
"Hey, uh sorry I didn't mean to scare you," he states sheepishly, "I knocked a few times, but you didn't answer."
"N-no, i-it's okay." I manage to stutter out. He seems perfectly normal, so I guess he didn't see my video.
"I just wanted to know if you wanted to come meet my girls." He says, a fond smile gracing his lips.
"I don't know, I'm not to good with socializing." I say and look down.
"I understand, but Bandit would really like to meet her new neighbor." He says and grins ay me. I sigh.
"Fine, but just excuse my extreme awkwardness." I say and sigh again.
"Okay, cool let's go." He grins and makes his way out the door, with me following behind him.
We enter through the sliding door that leads into the back yard. He motions for me to follow him. I nervously follow him into the kitchen. "They should be home any minute now." He states and puts on the kettle. "Coffee?" I want to decline, but I think it's better to have something to occupy my hands with.
"Yeah, why not?" I say and take a seat on one of the bar stools at the island.
"So, what are you studying for?" He asks and takes out four cups from the cupboard.
"Well, nothing specific." I reply shyly.
"Elaborate?" He asks and raises an eyebrow.
"Well, I want to go into animation," I explain, "but I want to write and draw."
"What kinda animation you plan on doing?" He asks looking genuinely interested.
"I don't know," I pause, "anything from kids' cartoons to music videos."
"Well, I can tell you that it's a lot of fun, but really hard work." He says with a smile.
"Yeah?" I ask trying to sound interested and I am, but I kind of already know this.
"Yeah, I'm a comic book writer." He states with a smile.
"That is pretty cool." I reply honestly. I mean I know what he does for a living , but it doesn't make it any less interesting.
"It really is." He says disappearing into his mind before snapping out again. Suddenly the sound of a door opening cuts through the momentary silence. The sound of little running feet fills the air and the door closes. A little figure suddenly darts into the kitchen and jumps into Gerards arms.
"Hi, Daddy!" Little Bandit exclaims happily.
"Hey Little B." He greets in return and hugs her. I have to mentally step on my fangirl who is resurfacing with vengance because I kept her surpressed for so long. Lindsey walks into the kitchen and gives her husband a kiss on the cheek. "Hi, Honey, how was your day?" He asks and smiles at her.
"Pretty relaxed." She replies chirpily. "And yours?"
"It was quite productive," He replies, "I helped Raylin move in.' Lindsey turns around and smiles at me.
"Hey, our new backyard neighbor," She smiles, "My name is Lindsey and this is our daughter Bandit." I almost reply with an 'I know,' but I stop myself before I can.
"N-nice to m-meet you guys." I stutter. "S-sorry I'm not t-too good at socializing."
"It's okay, I have a feeling we will become good neighbors." Lindsey says with a smile.
"Say hi, B." Gerard says and shifts her over to his other hip. She waves at at me and gives me a shy smile. I wave back and flash her my own little shy smile.
"Raylin is studying animation." Gerard says before an awkward silence falls over the room. "By the way, how do you take your coffee?"
"Black, three sugars please." I reply.
"Well, good to know we have another artist around here now." Lindsey says with a smile.
Yeah." I say shyly and fidgit with my shirt. A short silence falls over us again, but is broken by Lindsey quite quickly.
"You, know you do look kind of familiar." She states casually. The band wasn't that big yet, so, I can't imagine that the Lindsey Way knows about the band.
"I can't imagine why." I reply trying to sound nonchalant.
For the next hour I sat there answering questions about my hobbies, likes and dislikes and learning a bit more about the Way family. It was still pretty awkward but I ended up enjoying it
