part 2

Kylie finished her work and sat on her bed listening to music, hugging her knees. She stood at the sound of her dad's voice calling for dinner. Kylie slowly walkedo ut of her room and into the living room, to the dinning room. She sat down by her plate of meat loaf. After a quick little prayer both her dad and her began to eat.

There was little chatter between them, so dinner was very quiet. Kylie finished and washed her plate, placing it in the strainer to dry.

Her dad stood, making the char groan on the tiled floor. "Your uncle Walt needs some help on the farm I'm going to go run over ther for the night. I'll see you tomorrow." With that he kissed her cheek and left.

Kylie walked into the bathrrom and got ready for bed, tired from the day, but she was also tired mentally.

*That weekend*

Dan had come over to Kylie's house, her dad was gone at the farm, again. He was kissing her sweetly, going to fast for Kylie. She gently pushed him back, "stop..please.." she beged quietly

She fell back as he slapped her across the face, for th second time that week. "I'm soory." kylie cried. The two then began kissing again, Kylie wanting to cry, but held back. She prayed for help from this nightmare.

Kylie felt courgae and told Dan to stop again, as Dan began to make the movement to hit her again her dad walked in. Dan lowered his arm and smiled, "hi." he said

Kylie's father grunted, "dan I think its time for you t go."

dan nopdded and left

Kylie smiled at her dad. He rushed toward her and hugged her, "Kylie, my baby girl, what is he doing to you?"

Kylie hugged back, "what do you mean?" she asked

"You're face its bright red," he pulled back her sleeves." your arms are bruised. Kylie is he hurting you."

Tears fell down her face, and she nodded crying into his shoulder.

In his mind her thoyght, How can I tell her now? when she's hurt, how can I tell her, I have cancer?
