three things: no, they can't bring annie back once she's dead. she's a ghost hunter and since they don't like ghosts, why would they get to come back as one? two: i know that annie calls michael mickey sometimes but he likes when she does and all of her nicknames for him are dorky but that's how they are okay. and three: ELLA AND MICHAEL ISN'T HAPPENING SO STOP ASKING.

"I have to go help her," Annie whispered to Sarah after her and Marcus had entered the living room with everyone else. Calum and I were sitting there with Mali-Koa while we continued to try and find a way to get us all off the hook. "Just stall everyone, okay?"
Sarah shrugged from her spot next to me on the couch. "Alright," After Annie turned away to go upstairs, Sarah looked at me. "How am I supposed to stall them?"
So we just rolled with the conversation until it started to die down, which didn't take long since Marcus pretty much tried to put down every single offer Calum had come up with. It didn't take long for Marcus to announce he was wasting his time before striding into the kitchen, saying he was starving and "not wasting another second with these dumbasses". Calum figured he was just going to grab something to eat.
We were so wrong.
Someone came clambering down the stairs, which we soon found out was Marcus dragging out Annie by her hair -- she was trying to walk and keep up with him in heels while he stormed down the stairs and into the living room. He threw her down in front of us while we could hear more banging from upstairs and then a voice.
"Annie!"
It was definitely Michael.
"She was helping them again," he hissed as Annie tried to push herself up with her hands to glare up at him. "She's committed another act of treason while on probation. Treason alone is punishable by death."
"You can't kill her!" Calum yelled, standing up from the couch.
What are the odds I can slowly fade away so no one sees me and get everyone out of the attic?
"Bring down the captives," Rebecca ordered, staring emotionless down at Annie. "Marcus is right. We decided to spare your life the first time but there are no third chances."
"I believe electrocution is the way to go." Marcus stated coldly.
Rebecca nodded once, not saying anything until Sarah and Sabrina had returned with both of their hands holding the arm of one ghost. Sarah had Cooper and some girl while Sabrina dug her nails into the upper arms of Michael and a girl who had been stabbed in the stomach -- her wound was healing up, though.
"Annabelle Rosetta Reagan, I, Rebecca Marco, right-hand witch and head hunter of this house, hereby sentence you to death by electrocution," she announced, very official-like. Was this how they had to do it all the time? "Marcus, bring her to the basement."
-
Rebecca was the level-headed one; the one who made the rational decisions while Sabrina and Marcus seemed to be fulled just by rage. So because it was her to make the decision, I knew it was the right thing to do in the ghost hunting world, which just made it that much worse.
They'd chained Annie up where I'd been chained before. She kept her head up proudly, her red-stained lips closed and her eyes determined. Annie was always one to do everything with pride. I shouldn't have been surprised that she would go out like that too.
"Do you have any last words, my love?" Marcus practically taunted as he stood next to a lever that I assumed would be what caused her death.
"Don't call me that," she snapped in the same breath I heard Michael grumble, "Don't call her that."
"I have no words, only a request," she stated, staring without emotion at her boyfriend, if he could even be called that. "I'd like one last kiss."
Marcus took a step forward and Annie scrunched up her nose, "Not from you. From my real boyfriend."
Marcus rolled his eyes but motioned for Sabrina to bring Michael forward. She stood him in front of Annie who looked lovingly and apologetically down at him, "Mikey, darling, I'm sorry for ignoring you after seeing you in that house. I've always loved you, even after you were dead. And I'll always love you, Mickey, even after I'm long gone."
She leaned down and pressed her lips to his. He couldn't seem to find his body at all because he stood there, stiff as a board. When she went to pull away, that was when he brought his hands to her face and kissed her harder. Maybe the realization that it would be the last time he'd see her or kiss her finally hit him.
Sabrina yanked him back and his eyes widened. I'd never seen Michael look so scared except the moment right before he died -- but I'd rather not talk about that.
"Anything else?" Rebecca asked, her hands intertwined in front of her.
Annie took in a big breath before letting it out slowly and shrugging as best as she could manage, "C'est la vie."
"Goodnight, Annie." Marcus sang.
Right as the switch went down, it went straight back up, although the intensity of the shock effectively made Annie disoriented -- her head hung down and she didn't move or say anything. I saw that Sarah no longer had a hold on either of the girls. I looked over to see Bridgette had tackled Marcus from behind and the other girl had brought the switch back up. I couldn't help but smile at her as she glared down at the boy trapped under her -- although he was just slightly confused and would probably realize soon that he could easily get up under her weight.
"Sarah!" Rebecca scolded.
"Shit." she hissed. I knew she was pretending she didn't mean to let them go.
The girl that flipped the switch moved toward Rebecca, who was going for Cooper, and punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground. In that same instant, Marcus rolled over and grabbed Cooper before pinning her to the ground. I ran over and kicked him in the side, knocking him over once again and also knocking the wind out of him. I helped Bridgette to her feet and looked her over. She smiled to let me know she was alright, but there was a huge commotion around us.
The girl who had been stabbed managed to get Sabrina pinned against a wall with her arms behind her -- I assumed Sarah or Michael helped with that -- and Calum somehow had Mali passed out in his arms.
"Luke!" Cooper shouted. Like he used to back on Westfield, he appeared in the middle of the commotion, looking around completely confused. "Get Annie."
He looked to where Bridgette had nodded her head and immediately began instructing Michael, who was already trying to figure out how to get her down. I was confused about how he was going to get her free, but just a few seconds after his hands made contact with the chains on her ankles, they broke off. Michael held Annie up easily so she wouldn't have to bare the weight of her body on her wrists before Luke got rid of those too.
"We need to leave." I told her and she nodded.
Way to be obvious, Irwin.
"Luke, Mikey, get over here. Cal, grab your sister," Cooper instructed. "Aurora, are you coming?"
She nodded before jogging over to where we stood, holding onto each other in some way.
The girl, Aurora, looked through the group to her friend who still had Sabrina against a wall, "Julia, leave her! Let's go!"
Julia dropped her arms and sprinted across the basement to us but Sabrina quickly grabbed a glass bottle full of something from the wall and smashed it over Julia's head. She disappeared into the air like a puff of smoke.
"Julia!" Aurora cried out, reaching for her friend.
"We have to go now." Michael said, holding all of Annie's weight.
"Someone, get us out." Calum agreed because Mali-Koa was slipping from his grip.
And like that, we were gone.
