As soon as we flashed into the middle of the woods, Annie and Sarah had whipped their guns out from nowhere -- I didn't even think they had guns on them -- and aimed them at the three boys around Ella. She was being gripped by who I assumed was Carson since he looked like Michael with dark hair.
"Anyone moves and we shoot." Sarah stated.
"Let her go." Annie ordered, nodding to Ella.
Carson had one arm around Ella's chest while his other hand was placed on her forehead like he was ready to snap her neck. Ella looked terrified as she gripped onto his arm, digging her fingers into his skin.
"Why should I?" Carson gave a dark laugh. "You two should know better than anyone why we need to kill her."
"Cars, please don't." Sarah pleaded.
"You know him?" Michael questioned.
Sarah nodded, "Carson Willard; he's worked with us a few times."
"Why would you work with a vampire?" Emily asked.
"I'm not a vampire," he scoffed. "Try vampire hunter. I never actually turned her into a vampire, I was trying to see if she could lead me to who did. Vampires are tied to the person who changed them deep inside their head. It took a bit to get into her subconscious but once we did, we could track the girl down. And now that we have and we've informed Marcus we've gotten one of your's, we can dispose of her."
"Informed them?" Annie repeated, her eyebrows scrunching together.
"They were on their way to-"
"We told them a few days ago and they came back," one of the other guys said with a smirk -- he had on a beanie and thick glasses, "and you've just walked into the middle of their trap."
Behind us, a gun cocked. Everyone immediately stiffened.
"Move and you die." Marcus' rough voice sounded from the same direction.
I noticed Michael slowly moving his hand over to Annie who stood in front of him and slightly to the left. Then I saw Jeremy in front of me doing the same to Sarah. Noel and I looked away from them to each other, realizing what they were doing.
"On three," Noel whispered just loud enough for us to hear. "Three!"
I tackled Bridgette, pushing her to the side and to the ground while also going invisible, making her invisible with me. Everyone else did the same and soon, gunshots were going off everywhere. I scrambled to get up with Bridgette, bringing her behind a tree with me. I poked my head around and saw a tiny girl with brown hair and a slender face with goggles on, looking around and shooting. They were probably used to see invisible ghosts.
A scream and an odd sound that sounded like a mix of bending metal and drywall being smashed rang out and I turned just in time to see Ella's body drop before Carson let go of her head, letting it roll a few feet away.
A girl screamed and I just knew it was Noel. She ran toward the three boys, tears falling down her face, before she leaped up and tackled Carson to the ground. She rolled over right before Marcus shot over there so he was hit instead of her. I didn't watch for the rest because another scream sounded.
I turned the other way to see Rebecca fall to the ground, screaming in pain as she held onto her leg. The girl next to Marcus looked to where the bullet seemed to come from and shot over there. It hit a large oak tree and a squeal that sounded like Annie filled the woods.
Jeremy and Sarah appeared behind the tree next to Bridgette and I. I eyed the girl with the goggles before looking back at Sarah, "Who is she?"
((just a btw, when they're invisible at the same time, they can see each other. okay continue))
