"They call me a freak", said Lily

"They call me a freak", said Lily.

"You're not a freak, my darling.", replied Ginny softly before taking her daughter in her arms. "You're the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen."

"You're my mother, you've to say that.", Lily said.

"Well, I say that because you look just like me.", Ginny replied. "And I am pretty dang sure that I am gorgeous."

"Well you are- I am not.", Lily said and pulled away from her mother.

"Lu, you have to talk to me, my love.", Ginny said.

Lily took a deep breath, "Do you actually like it? Or do you just do it for dad?"

"Like what?", Ginny asked.

Lily looked around to make sure no one was listening and went to close her parents' room's door.

"Sex.", she whispered.

"It's not a taboo word, you know.", Ginny laughed. "Of course I like it, your dad is sooo–"

"Okay, don't be gross.", Lily interrupted.

"Why did you asked?"

"Well, you know Eth–"

"Don't tell me that bastard–"

"No, no!", Lily stood up. "He was a perfect gentleman and I wanted it."

"Oh", Ginny sighed. "Well, the first time is usually very weird. And seeing that two of the most awkward first timers made you–"

"Shut it!", Lily stopped her mother again. "Mother, please stop acting like a toddler."

"Oof, you're no fun.", Ginny laughed. "Come on, my darling, I am very serious now."

"If only..", Lily whispered and Ginny chuckled. "Anyway, I didn't like it."

"Oh?", Ginny prompted her to speak. "Is that why they called you a freak?"

Lily nodded, "Yeah, my friend – nope, my ex-friend – Michelle told Tasha that I didn't like it and Tasha told Gavin, and then he told the entire dorm and now Ethan hates me—"

"Calm down, Lily-bug.", Ginny wrapped her hands around her daughter and Lily rested her head under Ginny's chin. "I am sure Michelle didn't mean to hurt you, but if you feel more comfortable without her, then I am here– tell me when should I send your dad's men to finish the job."

Lily chuckled lightly, "Yes, ma'am."

Harry and Ginny always knew that Lily wasn't particularly interested in boys. Ever since she was a little girl, it was very clear that she liked girls. When she introduced Ethan to her parents, they were both a little surprised. Ginny remembers her husband saying, "She will figure it out, she is the smartest of the bunch." Ginny wholeheartedly agreed with that.

"You know I am bisexual.", Ginny said. "And so is your dad."

"Really?", Lily whispered. This reminded Ginny of the little 6-year-old Lily-bug, her Lily-bug, who lost the snitch. She was so scared, and yet so determined at the same time. Ginny vividly remembers that tiny toddler making her father find that snitch at 7 pm on a chilly and dark winter evening.

"Yeah.", Ginny whispered back and kissed the top of her head. "I had a huge crush on your godmother."

Lily laughed and said, "No way!"

"Yes way", Ginny laughed. "God, it was so embarrassing. Luna obviously saw right through me and asked me to kiss her."

"Did you?"

"Yeah, she was my first kiss.", Ginny replied. "I have just broken up with Michael because I liked Luna and he was a jackass."

"People with M names are bad.", Lily said.

Ginny laughed and shook her head. "Maybe.", she said. "Luna and I worked better as friends, plus I was too scared and started dating Dean.", Ginny added. "Who knows what would've happened if I had just been braver and asked her out."

"And dad?", Lily asked.

"Oh lord, I thought your father was secretly dating Draco.", Ginny said.

Lily bursts into laughter, "Hell no!"

"Yeah, I figured that wasn't happening when he kissed me in the common room.", Ginny said. "But he did say he had a crush on Cedric."

"Huh", Lily said. "What if you didn't like boys?"

"That's perfectly normal as well.", Ginny said.

"Isn't it unnatural?", Lily asked. "Travis said that girls are supposed to like boys."

"Well, Travis is wrong.", Ginny said firmly. "Darling, nothing is unnatural. We fly, that's against laws of gravity. Heck, I am a pureblood- according to your so-called nature, none of us are real and we are just some stuff of fiction."

"But– what if I like just girls?", Lily asked.

"Well, I always wanted more daughters.", Ginny said. "Plus, I am sure your father would be over the moon when he hears that no man is coming near his baby girl."

"Mum, I am serious.", Lily said.

"Lu, you are amazing.", Ginny said. "Any girl would be so lucky to have you. If you think you need to shag a girl, go shag as many as you want and if someone causes any trouble-"

"You will send dad's men to take care of them.", Lily completed the sentence with a smirk.

"Yes.", Ginny smiled. "We love you, no matter who you choose to love and spend your life with."

"Thanks, mom."

"No problem, kiddo."

"Who is a better kisser, Aunt Luna or Dad?"

"I am not answering that."
