James Sirius Potter, Ginny and Harry's second-oldest child and their firstborn, is very close to his grandfather. Arthur and James have always had a special bond. Lile how Teddy always could be found with either Dora or Vic, how Albus could always be found with his mum or his godfather, how Lily had Harry or Teddy, James had Arthur.
James was close to Molly as well, and after her death, James and Arthur became even more closer. James would always go over to his granddad's house to help him fix things, help him in the gardens and just spend time with Arthur in general. Most days James and Arthur would just sit, watch some TV, eat and drink tea but today James had something else in mind.
"Hey, old man.", James said as he walked out to the backyard of the Burrow where Arthur was sitting. "Good day, innit?"
Seeing James always made Arthur's day ten times better. Arthur smiled at him and sat up straight to give him a hug.
"You can start the tea, I have some of your favourite lemon drizzle cakes.", Arthur said as James pulled a chair to sit next to him.
"Very tempting offer, Pa but I sadly didn't come here for tea.", said James. "I need your help."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, I have two tickets to this amazing muggle movie 'Mamma Mia: Here we go again' and no one to go with and–"
"Give me 5 minutes and I will be in my best muggle outfit.", Arthur cut James off. He stood up with James' help and went to his room. James laughed at how fast his granddad got ready and took him to the car his dad had lent him. He asked the driver to take them to the theatre.
"Ohhhh, muggle cars are so different!", Arthur said excitedly as he sat in the front seat.
"Check this out," James asked the driver to turn on the seat warner and Arthur sorta whelped.
"My bottom is warm..."
They both talked and laughed ok their way to the theatre. During the entire movie, Arthur looked so happy and excited. James was very proud of surprising Arthur with these tickets. He made a mental note to thank his dad for this idea later.
"The songs were amazing, can we buy the records?", Arthur asked as they walked out of the theatre.
"I don't know, but you remember the phone uncle Ron got you last Christmas? I can teach you how to play songs on that!", James said.
"Oh, I lost that somewhere. It dropped behind the sofa a few weeks ago and that was it.", Arthur said as he walked into a muggle toy store.
"I can find it for you when we go back.", James said. "I am sure sofa eating stuff is just a myth."
"Oh no, don't bother. Luna stopped by a few days ago and said some nargles took it. She knows about these things.", Arthur said.
"My sister Luna or Mrs. Scamander?", James asked.
"Have I ever called Lily 'Luna'?"
"Yes"
"Oh, well your sister's godmother Luna. Mrs. Scamander."
"I would still like to take a look, and if we find your phone we will have to come here every month to get it recharged.", said James.
"That would be nice, we can watch a movie too!"
"Maybe Teddy, Al and Lu will join us next time. I heard there is a new Marvel movie coming, and Grandpa you will love it!", James picked up a funko pop from the shelf. "Ah, a Ginny Weasley pop for your collection."
"Oh no, I have got the quidditch one. I just need the yule ball pop and I will have all of Weasley family Pops.", Arthur said.
"I might be able to get one from Amazon for you.", James said. "We can look at it when we reach home."
"Ohhhh, the moving stairs! Let's go there!", Arthur said as he made his way towards the escalator.
"Right behind you, Pa.", James shook his head and followed his granddad with a smile on his face. "And Mum asked me to bring you home for dinner but dad is making toad in the hole. So maybe we can eat out? Or get Indian takeouts?"
"I am in the mood for some butter chicken.", said Arthur as they went down the escalator. "We can take it back to my house and eat there. You can tell your Mum that I made you eat that."
"You're the best!"
James did find Arthur's phone behind the sofa, he showed Arthur how to use Spotify and ordered the Yule Ball pops from Amazon for him. Arthur's collection was completed and James did come back the next day for the lemon drizzle cake.
