"Hey wait up!" I yelled, as I followed Luke down the hallway after class. We just finished calc class together, and things seem to be getting better. I feel more confident in my work, and think I'm overall doing better in the class.
"Hey," he said, turning around and giving me a smile. I slowly ran up to his side, so we could walk next to each other.
"Do you have any plans today?" I asked. I was hoping he doesn't so I could invite him to come over and spend some time with me.
"I do actually," he laughed, stopping in his tracks to turn and face me. "I never usually have plans but I've been recently talking to some new friends I've made and they seem pretty cool, so they asked me if they wanted to hang out for a little."
"Oh, alright." I smiled awkwardly, not knowing what else to say.
"But I'm free tomorrow!" He smiled. I returned the smile, as we continued to walk down the hall. Luke and I usually parked in the same parking lot, so we would always have the chance to walk out of school together.
"Good, I may need some help on homework if you don't mind helping me out a little." I quietly giggled to myself. I felt like I've been annoying so much about all of this lately, but I hope he didn't mind. He normally didn't help me during our free period anymore, just sits next to me to keep my company.
"You're such a pain sometimes," Luke laughed, and rolled his eyes at me. I knew he was joking because he has always said he would love to help me anytime he needed it. He reached down and gave my hand a little squeeze, before quickly letting it go. I don't think he really meant to do that since we were at public in school, and since I just got out of a relationship.
I looked back up at Luke and gave him a smile, letting him know that it was okay. We walked further down the hallway until we were finally out of the double doors and into the parking lot. As we walked out of the double doors, I pulled my sweater closer to me, as the breeze seemed to be getting colder and colder. I liked it in the winter here, but only because it snowed.
"Oh hey guys," Luke said, which caused me to look up from the ground.
I looked up to see three other boys, all standing in a mini circle next to each other. I assumed these were the friends Luke was hanging out with today. As I looked up at all of them, they all seemed to look at me back.
"Guys, this is Scarlet." Luke said, as I gave them all a small wave. They didn't say anything to me, just smiled and gave me a small wave back.
"This is Michael," Luke said, pointing at the boy. He pointed to a boy with fairly pale skin, and lilac hair. He was wearing a blue oversized flannel, with dark skinny jeans, and black boots. I noticed something about Michael too, he had a eyebrow ring that stuck out to me first. He also had beautiful green eyes.
"This is Calum," Luke said, pointing to the boy next to Michael. Calum had dark hair, and was more tanner than Michael. He was wearing a plain white shirt, with a green jacket over it. He was also wearing black skinny jeans, but they were rolled up at the bottom, showing off his ankles.
"And this is Ashton," Luke said, pointing to the boy that was beside Calum. I looked over to Ashton, and the first thing I noticed about him were his eyes. They were a mixture of green and hazel, and they were beautiful. His light brown hair was ruffled on the top of his head, as he had earphones sticking out from the top of his shirt. He was wearing a white, ripped up t-shirt, with a red flannel wrapped around his waist. I noticed that all four of the boys were wearing all the same pants, either ripped or not.
I didn't know how Luke knew these boys because I thought he was only pretty close to Hunter. I knew he had more friends, he just never mentioned hanging out with them before.
