Sam shuts his door behind him as he enters his room. He falls back onto his bed letting out a long sigh.
"What was I thinking?" he thought to himself. "Why would I do that, Lex is like...my sister...isn't she? " he questions himself.
Sam spends the remainder of the night thinking of Lexxi, how much she's grown in the year she's been here, how close they've become working on cases together. He's protective of her, just like Dean. Dean even says she's like a sister, she's family. He always worries about her a little more than the others when they go out on hunts, especially when he's not with her.
"Am I protective of Lex for a different reason than Dean? Do I have feelings for Lex?"
"I have feelings for Lex...Dean is gonna kill me."

Lexxi walks over to her desk and pulls out the journal Sam gave her at her birthday. She flips through the pages, she's written a little in it, but mostly sketches fill the pages so far; Dean leaning against the Impala, Sam in the library reading some old book on lore, the sunset from the overlook, Jack and Cas, Sam, Mary and John, Sam, a wendigo, Sam, Sam...Sam...she never noticed how many sketches of Sam she has done. She sits pondering her feelings for what seems like hours. She places the journal back in her desk and goes to open her door, she has to talk to Sam. She is startled when she opens the door to find Sam standing there, fist raised about to knock on the now opened door.
"Ohh, hi, I was just headed to the kitchen to get a drink..." she panics, she can't really tell him how she feels...can she?
"Can I talk to you quickly?" Sam says softly, she nods her head and steps out into the hallway, "look about earlier, out on the overlook, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gone to...uh...it was a mistake. I didn't mean it, I just got caught up in the moment..." he trails off. Lex's heart sinks, he doesn't feel the same way.
"It's fine, I understand," she forces herself to say, "don't worry about it. It never happened." She looks at Sam nods and turns to go back into her room.
"Weren't you going to get a drink?" Sam asks.
"Uhh, yeah, right," she mutters, walking past him, her head down. "That was embarrassing," she thinks to herself.
Dean, Cas, and Jack return the next day.
"Sammy, pack your bags, we're going witch hunting," Dean shouts through the bunker.
"Witch hunting?" Sam asks as he enters the war room. "You just got back."
"And now we're leaving, where's Lex?" Dean asks "You two needa get out of this bunker."
"What's going on? I heard someone shout?" Lex asks as she rushes through the library to the war room. "Dean, you're back!"
"Yeah now grab your bag, we're going witch hunting," Dean says smiling. Lex does as Dean says and grabs her bag. Sam and Lex don't say much to each other on the way to South Dakota. Cas fills them in on the case, it seems as if a witch is casting spells on couples in a small town, turning them against each other, until one of them kills the other, for what purpose, they don't know. They take care of the witches in no time and head back to the bunker.
Lexxi and Jack are asleep in the back seat of the Impala, Cas sitting awkwardly in the middle.
"So, what's with you and Lex?" Dean asks "You've hardly said two words to each other this entire trip."
"It's nothing, it's just last week marked a year since she's been with us, she's just missing her sister more than usual, she was actually kind of upset because she wasn't thinking about her sister while everything with Lucifer was happening."
"Okay, that doesn't explain why she's not talking to you?" Dean asks, raising an eyebrow at Sam.
"I tried to make her feel better, I guess it didn't work. I probably said something wrong." Sam says...it's not entirely a lie...
"Well talk to her and fix it!" Dean says. Sam nods.

"Lexxi, can I talk to you?" Sam says through the Lex's door. She opens the door, stepping outside, closing the door behind her. "Look I'm sorry, about everything, I don't want to give you the wrong impression," Sam begins "Dean knows there's something up with us, he asked me why you aren't talking to me."
"I'm talking to you," Lex snaps, Sam is taken aback.
"Lex, please, what can I do to make this right?" Sam pleads.
"There's nothing to make right, you go to kiss me, then tell me it was a mistake. That's all. It's fine." Lex snaps again, she doesn't know why she's so angry. She turns to go back into her room, Sam grabs her arms and spins her around so that she's facing him.
"Lexxi," He begins, but doesn't say anything else, he looks into her eyes and sees pain, it's in that moment he realizes he has made a big mistake. Without hesitation, his hands cup her face and he pulls her to him, pressing their lips together softly. Lex pulls back slightly, but Sam's grip just gets tighter, her hands rest on his chest, and she stands on her tiptoes. Sam presses her against the wall, he presses his lips to hers with more force. They break apart suddenly when they hear footsteps down the hall followed by Dean and Cas's voices. They turn the corner to find Sam and Lexxi standing outside her door.
Dean looks at Sammy, "All good?" he asks.
"Yeah, all good," Sam says, Lexi nods in Dean's direction giving him a small smile. Cas just stands there, confused with no idea what's going on.
"Night, see y'all in the morning," Sam says as he hurries off towards his room.
"I don't know what he did, but you're sure it's good?" Dean asks Lex with brotherly concern in his voice.
"I'm sure Dean, goodnight," Lex says and turns back into her room. She closes her door just as her phone goes off, a text message..from Sam.
Lex, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that...I really think we should talk. -Sam
Meet you outside in 20. We'll talk. -Lex
Sam immediately heads outside, sneaking past Dean and Cas who are in the kitchen. After about 10 minutes the bunker door opens, Lexxi steps out.
"Hi," Sam says shyly.
"Hi," Lexxy says similarly, "So, about what happened..."
"Lex, I'm sorry, I keep sending you mixed signals, it's not right or fair to you.." Sam begins. Lex walks over to him and cuts him off. She grabs the front of his jacket and pulls him down to her, she presses her lips to his for a moment before releasing his jacket and taking a step back. SHe looks up at him, waiting for a reaction.
"You do feel the same way?" He asks, a small smile across his face.
"I think you could say that," she says handing him her journal, he takes it, a confused look on his face. She nods and he begins flipping through the pages. When he reaches the end of the filled pages he looks at Lex, understanding why she showed her journal to him. He saw the sketches, many of them are him.
He places the journal in his pocket, takes a step towards Lexxi, his hands grip her waist, pulling her into him, She stands on her tiptoes, tilting her head up towards Sam, he leans down and presses his lips to hers with an urgency he's never experienced before. He pulls her tightly against his chest, nipping at her lower lip, she parts her lips slightly, his tongue explores her mouth, she does the same to him. They stand outside the bunker kissing like that for several minutes, before pulling away from each other, breathing heavily. Sam walks Lexxi back to her room.
"The others can't know about us right now," Sam says, disappointment in his voice.
"Is there an us?" Lex asks.
"I hope so...if it's what you want?" Sam questions.
"It is, and I understand they can't know yet," Lex says with a small understanding smile on her face. "Goodnight Sam," He pulls her close and places a small peck on her lips.
"Goodnight Lexxi," Sam says.
