"Dean, what do you want to do, lock her in the bunker for the rest of her life?" Sam says, anger in his voice.

"Maybe, yeah. At least she'd be safe!" Dean shouts back.

"What does she want?" Cas chimes in.

"That's the thing, she doesn't know what she wants right now," Sam begins "she's confused, she's been through so much the past few years. Are we really helping her by keeping her here?"

"Helping or not, Lex safe, that Admiral douchebag can't get to her in here!" Dean says a bit more calmly.

"If we keep her here, she'll hate us. If Lexxi wants to leave we have to let her," Sam says sternly.

"What if The Admiral finds her?" Cas asks.

"He won't we'll help her, change her name, find her somewhere off the grid. She deserves a normal life." Sam states,

"You make it sound like you want her to leave Sam!" Dean says, approaching Sam.

"Of course I don't, I care about her as much as you, hell you didn't even like her when she first got here! I'm just thinking of Lexxi, she's a grown woman, she can make her own choices." Sam retorts.

"You really think after all that's happened to her she could just go back to the real world, marry some prince charming, have a few kids and a white picket fence knowing what hides in the shadows, knowing what could come for her at any moment, and I'm not talking about The Admiral here!" Dean shouts.

"I..I don't know," Sam says defeated, "Dean I know you care about her, she's become like our sister, and we both want what's best for her, but she's not happy. We can all see it. If everything was fine Jack wouldn't have gone to Cas. Cas wouldn't have read her journal and come to us. She needs more Dean, more than this." Dean is quiet for a few minutes.

"Fine, we'll take her out on a hunt," Dean says and walks away. Lexx darts around the corner back to the kitchen, just as Jack walks in. Dean enters the kitchen a few moments later, followed by Sam and Cas, Dean grabs a few beers from the fridge and sits down. Everyone is quiet. Dinner is awkward. Lexxi can't wait to get back to her room.

Days go by, Lexxi never lets on that she listened in on Sam and Dean's conversation with Cas. They act as if everything is normal, but from what Lexxi gathers, this is normal for them. Jack is spending more and more time with Lex, and she welcomes his company. It's easy being around Jack, his naive innocence of the world, it's refreshing. She's been training with him and Dean. Sam has kept his distance over the past few days.

"Hey, kid!" Dean shouts from across the library where he and Cas are standing over a laptop, a new case maybe. Lexxi and Jack both look up.

"uh, yeah both of you, come over here," Dean says, "There's a possible djinn in a small village in Maine, I want you both to come with me and Cas, scope things out."

"You're taking us on a hunt?" I ask surprised.

"I'm taking you to follow up on a lead," Dean says sternly.

"Sam isn't coming with us?" Jack asks.

"No, he's gonna sit this one out," Dean says in his end-of-discussion voice, "We leave in 20."

When Dean, Cas, Jack, and Lexxi get to Maine, it is, in fact, a djinn, it takes 2 days to hunt it down, Dean and Cas take the lead, Jack and Lex are 'back-up' as Dean puts it. Not exactly the hunt Lexxi was hoping for, but at least she got out of the bunker. They stop at a diner before heading back to the bunker.

"Dean, do you see that guy over there at the bar, black leather jacket, gray beanie, keeps looking over at me?" Lex whispers into his ear. Dean looks nonchalantly around the diner.
