"Dad?" Lexxi whispers to Jack, who just shrugs his shoulder.

"How are you here? How did you find us?" Sam questions.

" I don't know, I just woke up, and suddenly I was trapped, in my own mind, then I woke again, here with you," he says.

Jack and Lexxi continue to stand there, confused, not knowing what to do.  Sam and Dean's father turns to Cas.

"You're..you're an angel?" He asks.

"Yes, I am Castiel, though your sons call me Cas," he responds. Sam and Dean continue to question their father. Lex doesn't remember them mentioning him. She never felt right asking about him, she has met their mother, she doesn't come around much, she's usually off on some case. Suddenly Sam and Dean's father notices Lexxi and Jack staring at them.

"Ohh, Dad, this is Jack, he's well...Lucifer's son..." Sam says, speaking again before his father can cut him off, "he's good though, his mother, Kelly Kline, was a great woman, Cas, Dean and I, we took him in, he's not like his father. He uhh, lost his grace, so he doesn't have powers anymore. And this, this is Lexxi, she's been with us almost a year, we rescued her on one of our hunts. She is becoming an excellent hunter," Sam finishes.

"Nice to meet you, I'm John Winchester," he holds out his hand to Lexxi who shakes it, his eyes never leave Jack. Suddenly Cas appears with a handful of beers, everyone takes one, and they toast.

"Merry Christmas," Cas says hesitantly. Everyone take a sip of their beer, the atmosphere is quite awkward. Dean down his beer slams the bottle on the table and walks off. Sam goes after him, but Dean stops, puts a hand up and Sam stops, turns around and goes back to his dad's side. After a few minutes, Cas disappears, presumedly to find Dean.

John pulls Sam to the side, their conversation looks like it's getting a bit heated.

"Jack, why don't we go eat..." Lexxi says to him. They go into the kitchen, they don't really eat though, they just push the food around their plates, nibbling here and there.

"There you guys are," Sam says, making Lex and Jack turn suddenly in their seats, he sees they're eating breakfast, "Is there any left?" Lexxi nods, pointing to the counter filled with pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit, Christmas cookies, and coffee.

"You have quite a feast here," John says, a small smile on his face.

"Lex does most of the cooking, she's great," Sam says smiling at her while handing his dad a plate of food, they sit and John begins to question Lexxi about her life. She answers several questions before becoming a bit anxious when he asks about her past.  Sam steps in, changing the subject, he grabs Lexxi's hand under the table and gives it a light squeeze, an apologetic smile on his face. Dean and Cas enter the room.

"Hope you saved some for us," Dean says. They all sit around the kitchen eating breakfast, everyone has broken off into their own conversations, when they hear a familiar voice call from the library.

"Boys, are you home?" the voice calls out. Sam and Dean look at each other, eyes wide, they hop up and run towards the library. Cas tries to keep John in the kitchen but fails. John follows the boys into the library, Cas, Lexxi and Jack follow as well. Jack stops dead in his tracks when he sees who Sam is hugging.

"Mary?" John says, shocked and confused. Mary pulls her gun and ais it at John's chest.

"Mom, mom, it's him. It's dad," Sam says lowering his mother's hand taking the gun from her. She walks slowly over to John.

"John?" Mary whispers, tears welling in her eyes.

"It's me, Mary, it's me," He repeats over and over, pulling Mary into a tight embrace. Cas places a hand on Jack and Lexxi's shoulders, gesturing them out of the room to leave the Winchesters to catch up.  Lexxi doesn't know where Cas is for most of the remainder of the day, she and Jack hang out in the Dean-cave. Jack plays video games while Laxxi sketches in the journal Sam gave her. It's getting late when Lexxi and Jack head to bed. Lexxi finds Cas in his room, researching a lead on Lucifer, Dean is in the kitchen with Mary and John, he seems to have softened up towards his father since his mother's arrival. Lexxi can't find Sam, she searches the bunker, he's not in the library, war room, his bedroom, she even checked the spare rooms and garage. With nowhere else to look she heads outside to find Sam leaning against the doorframe.

"What are you doing out here, it's freezing?" she asks Sam, he jumps, not realizing she had come outside.

"I just needed some air," he says, turning back to look at the night sky. It's a clear night and the stars seem to be shining extra bright tonight.

"It must be strange," Lexxi begins, he turns to look at her, "You lost your mother, only for her to return 33 years later. Then your father dies and suddenly return 12 years later."

"It's a lot to take in," Sam says.

"Are you okay?" Lex asks, concerned "It's definitely a lot, but aren't you happy, you have both your parents back?"

"I am happy, but we don't know why he's back, or how long he will be here," Sam says. Lexxi kicks at the dirt.

"Just enjoy the time you have with them," Lexxi says.

"Lex, I'm so sorry, I wasn't thinking. Here I am sulking over the fact that both my parents are back from the dead when yours..."Sam trails off, not knowing what to say. Lexxi doesn't reply, so Sam takes a step towards her, he sees she's crying.

"Hey, I'm sorry. Lex, I.." He stumbles over his words, so instead, he pulls Lexxi to his chest, wrapping his arms tightly around her shoulders, resting his chin on the top of her head. She wraps her arms around his waist and cries into his chest, leaving dark marks on his t-shirt where her tears fell. They stand like that for what seems like forever. Suddenly they hear someone clear their throat.

"We've been looking for you both, what's going on?" Dean says. Sam loosens his grip on Lexxi, keeping one arm over her shoulder, she wipes the tears off her face with the back of her hand."Lex, you okay?" he looks to Sam.

"Everything's fine, just seeing you and Sam reunite with your parents, I just miss mine.." Lexxi says softly. She turns and thanks Sam before heading inside, leaving Sam and Dean outside. She passes Mary and John on the way to her room.

"Hey sweetie, is everything okay?" Mary asks, stopping her.

"Yeah, everything is fine. It's nice to see you again!" Lexxi says, forcing a smile onto her face. SHe says goodnight to Mary and John and heads to her room.

"Boys, what's wrong with Lex? Was she crying?" Mary asks when Sam and Dean come inside.

"She'll be okay, with everything that happened today, she just misses her parents and sister is all," Sam says, sadness in his voice.

"That's why she was uncomfortable when I was asking her questions," John says, shaking his head, "I should have known, a girl like that, living a life like this."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Dean asks defensively.

"A girl as beautiful and smart as that, why would she chose this life unless she had no family, no ties. What killed her parents?" John says.

"A drunk driver," Sam replies, John looks at him confused.

"Her parents died years ago in a car accident, her sister was killed almost a year ago by some Chimera," Sam begins "that's when we took her in, she was hurt badly, the only survivor. She decided to stay, she's family, just like Cas, and just like Jack."

"That poor girl," John begins.

"No, not that poor girl. Yeah she's been through hell, we all have, but she's strong, she's a damn good hunter, and like Sammy said, she's family." Dean snaps back at his father. John nods, seeing how protective Dean and Sam over this girl.

The Winchesters say goodnight and head to bed.
