Saved (A Supernatural Fanfiction)

Chapter Eighteen

"Everyone ready?" Dean shouts. He, Sam, Cas, Jack, Lexxi, Crowley, and Rowena stand around a devil's trap painted on the floor of the abandoned barn in Arizona. They all nod. 

"Zod ee reh doh noh koh ah beh rah ma geh nah zod peh sah geh" Rowena repeats the incantation, summoning Michael. He appears before them, as Sam lights the holy oil in the devil's trap. Dean steps forward.

"Deal hasn't changed, once Lucifer is dead, you're out, I'm not your vessel anymore," Dean says sternly to Michael. 

"A deal is a deal," Michael says mischievously pulling the archangel blade from his coat, "I take it I'll be needing this?" Dean steps through the holy fire into the Devil's trap. Michael's previous vessel falls to the floor, unconscious. Sam and Jack take him outside, other hunters will get him to safety. Dean turns, eyes glowing blue, his demeanor changes, he stands tall, with arrogance, giving the others a sly smile, Michael has taken over.

A few moments later Lucifer appears before them. Sam, Bobby, Mary, and John each stand at one of the barn walls. As soon as Lucifer appears they finish the angel and demon trapping sigils painted on the walls. Holy fire erupts around the perimeter trapping Lucifer and Michael inside. 

"Lucifer!" Dean/Michael shouts Dean is fighting against Michael for control, to make sure the job is done.  

"Hello brother," Lucifer laughs, a blade emerging from his sleeve. He snaps his fingers causing part of the roof to collapse, billows of black smoke flood the barn. Chaos ensues.  Lucifer's monsters break through the doors. Hunters attack. Angels fight alongside hunters and demons under Crowley's control. Rowena and several witches cast off spell after spell. Lucifer and Michael float above the chaos, in their own fight. Lucifer takes a swing, Sam sees blood streaming out of his brother's chest. 

"Dean!!" Sam shouts. Dean turns his head, eyes blue, gives a sly smile before lunging through the air at Lucifer. A demon attached itself to Michael's back, he spins and takes down the Demon, Lucifer vanishes amongst the battle on the ground. Slashing down hunter, demon, and angel alike. 

"Lucifer!" Dean shouts, gaining control over Michael once more. He lunges at Lucifer, plunging the blade into his chest. Lucifer looks at Michael in shock, before crumbling to the ground. Eyes glowing yellow before falling shut. Lucifer's demons and monsters all crumble to the floor. Crowley waves his hand and billows of black smoke disappear into the floorboards. 

Sam looks around the room, he sees Dean collapsed on the floor next to Lucifer's vessel. He rushed towards him, followed by Cas and Jack. An archangel blade protrudes from Dean's abdomen. Dean's eyes flutter open and shut. Michael is gone. Lucifer is gone. 

"Cas!" Sam shouts, turning to Cas, who is already kneeling beside Dean, he places two fingers to Dean's forehead.  Dean sits up suddenly, gasping for breath.

"What happened? Is it over? Did it work?" Dean questions. 

"Dean, calm down," Sam says, placing a hand on his brother's shoulder, "It worked, Lucifer, Michael, they're gone."

"How many did we lose?" Dean asks, looking around the room. Sam holds out a hand, helping Dean to his feet. Jack walks over to them, blood running down his face. 

"You okay kid?" Dean asks.

"Fine, how are you?" Jack replies. Dean just nods. The four begin walking around the barn, they see Crowley and Rowena talking to Bobby. John and Mary are helping wounded hunters out of the barn. Several hunters and angels lay lifeless on the floor. Cas walks over to a group of angels, says a few words before they disappear. Cas returns to the group. 

"Let's get you patched up," Sam says to Dean, "Cas healed the major damage, but you need to rest." 

Dean is looking around the room, "Where's Lex?" he asks suddenly. They all look at Dean, eyes wide before taking off in different directions to search the barn. Dean stumbles around, holding his abdomen.
