"How boring," the twins sighed.
The prize of the game were pictures of Haruhi from middle school that the shadow king mysteriously acquired. All of the hosts participated and failed to find what Haruhi was afraid of—her nonchalant and uninspiring behavior foiled their attempts.
Hikaru and Kaoru finally gave up along with the rest of them.
You didn't participate because you thought watching would be more interesting than joining.
Even if you did participate you were sure she would've acted indifferently to your plans.
"So, beanstalk..."
You felt an arrow pierce your body as Hikaru continued to comment on your height.
"Why didn't you join?" Kaoru finished what Hikaru started.
You exhaled and crossed your arms. "It was obviously a waste of time for you guys."
"You can say that again."
You walked around the beach a bit more and went to observe that cat shaped rock Nekozawa was going on about earlier. It actually seemed cool instead of scary since you could wonder on how the heck it turned out to look like that in the first place.
"You're being a nuisance."
Your ears perked at the sound of Haruhi's voice. You looked inside of the mouth of the rock and saw Haruhi confronting some males you weren't familiar with.
It seems that she threw sea urchins on them and whatnot.
They were bothering the customers as well.
Four in total.
You quickly went over and saw them roughly grab her.
"Oy," you called irritatedly as you grabbed the wrist of them who held hers. "Just leave peacefully, huh?"
He started to snicker. "What's up with this beach? We got a girly-man and a manly-girl.."
He let go of her so you let go of him, but then you were assaulted when he suddenly punched you in the face, then Haruhi.
She grabbed the side of her face and your vision blurred from the blood that dripped from your head. You swiftly wiped it away and punched him harder, then the one that stood behind Haruhi.
They were both out cold.
"(f/n)-senpai, be careful!" One of the ladies were cautioning you.
You turned to Haruhi. "You okay?"
She looked up and quickly said, "behind you!"
You were grabbed by another one of the males while the other one grabbed Haruhi's collar and pushed her over the cliff of the rock, into the sea.
Your eyes widened and your mind went blank, only thinking about saving her at the moment.
You jerked your head back and gave the one that held you a bloody nose. You pushed past the one that pushed her and jumped over the cliff to get her as quickly as you could.
Diving into the water and opening your eyes briefly, you saw a glimpse of her and swam quickly to get her. Your eyes were stinging, but you didn't care too much.
You quickly surfaced and looked all over to find the land.
Once you did you held her and kicked until your feet could touch the sand of the shore. You held her bridal style and saw that she was passed out, but pretty much alright.
Your head began to feel dizzy.
"(n/n)-chan, are you alright? How's Haruhi?" Hani-senpai came running along with Mori-senpai, a couple girls on the beach as well.
They seemed very worried and scared.
"...yeah," you eventually responded, earning odd looks from everyone. "Just... hold her for a sec..."
You nudged the girl in your arms towards Mori and he took her, eyeing you carefully. "(f/n)," he said.
You didn't say anything, but passed out right on the spot.
Your blood stained the sand and the girls screamed.
