The heavy mahagony doors closed behind you and your heart grew heavy.
What was going to happen now ?
When Taehyung and you had entered the hall everything had turned silent.
Mr. Kim hadn't seemed happy. He'd just frown and signalized you to come with him.
While you were a little bit intimidated by his behavior Taehyung seemed confident, like he knew just what to say.
Now you were in the familiar meeting room, asking yourself what was going to happen.
Mr. Kim turned around and leaned against the long table.
He looked at his son and sighed, "So you decided to go against this marriage?"
Taehyung scoffed, "Obviously..."
His father cocked one eyebrow, "Why now?"
Now it was Taehyung's turn to sigh, "Dad...don't you see I'm with Y/N ? I don't want to marry this girl. For now I don't want to marry any girl. Let me live my life."
Mr. Kim lowered his head and his shoulders fell down like all his energy was sucked out of his body, then he looked up to his son "Sadly you have no choice Taehyung. The contract was already signed."
"Yes, with your signature. I'm 19 dad you can't decide over my life anymore!"
His father shook his head disapproving "Are you even listening to yourself? You know that this is nonsense. What would your mother think about you now?"
You felt Taehyung's hand clutching firmer around yours, as his dad used the 'hat-would-your-mom-think' card.
"Mom would be proud of me", he said through gritted teeth, "She would be proud that I'm standing up for me, my self and my own feelings."
You could literally feel the tension between both of the men. They seemed to have reached a point in their argument, in where both of them were ready to hurt each other mentally. And both of them knew it was the easiest to do so with mentioning the deceased women they'd both loved.
But then Mr. Kim got up from the table.
"Well, do what you want. I just want you to know that our company won't support you in anyways. Do you really want to waste all this just because of a normal and ordinary girl?"
Well, thanks.
You didn't like how he was talking about you like you weren't there. Like you were just an ordinary person whose name wasn't worth to mention.
"Excuse me Mr. Kim but I think that that's enough for today." ,You said fake smiling, "I think it'll be good if both of you have a night to think about all of this. Until tomorrow Taehyung won't disturb you in here."
With that you took Taehyung's wrist and dragged him out of the room.
"B-but Y/N." Taehyung said. For once he was the one stumbling behind you, "Where should I go for the night ?"
You turned around to look at him and smiled sheepishly, "I think mom will be fine with you sleeping at our house."
When you entered the hall again everyones eyes were on you.

Jaehees POV
She'd been at the ball since the beginning. Watching all of this drama occuring.
How her daughter had come in and how Minjae started his little speech that was interrupted by Taehyung's oh so shocking statement.
Now, she watched her daughter dragging the poor boy behind her.
She didn't need to ask them to know what had happened.
Jaehee may have made her mistakes in the past but she wanted to prove Y/N that she still was a good mother.
She had seen the way Y/N had looked at Taehyung. How down she'd been after she heard from Mina's and his engagement.
Jaehee had never seen her daughter acting like that and she somehow wanted to thank Taehyung for proving that her daughter also was just a normal teenager with normal teenage feelings.
She stepped into the room where Minjae was left alone dumbfounded, a few seconds ago.
The woman crossed her arms amd looked at the man she's been forcefully engaged with, so many years ago.
"You're not going to kick out Taehyung from the company just because you wanted to annoy me."
Minjae looked up at her "I didn't...."
"Oh come on Kim Minjae ! I know you. You don't need Choi Yilins money. You don't need anybody's money. But you thought I would be angry if you interrupt Taehyung's and Y/N's marriage and replace my daughter with Yilin's. Or at least, so you thought. I was okay with your game until Y/N developed feelings for your son. God dammit, just let your son be happy for once. He deserves it truly. After Josephine died he'd...you know... changed. He finally seems to recover from her death and you're forbidding him his feelings?!"
Minjae stared at the woman who hadn't talked to him that much since ages. He couldn't deny that it felt good to hear the voice of the woman he'd once loved.
"Listen Jaehee...it's not like that. I'm not forbidding him I'm just..."
"You'll disinherit him won't you?"
Jaehee cocked one eyebrow while looking disappointed at the man in front of her.
"Don't. That's all I want from you. Your son loves you but he doesn't accept you determining about his life anymore."
Minjae didn't say anything. He suddenly felt lost. Lost without his wife, who would've known what to do right now. If he was being honest to himself he missed Josephine even more than his son did.
Jaehee turned around to leave, but he had one more question.
"Did it really not bother you that Yilin's daughter..."
She shook her head and smiled, "You know I was never jealous. Not at Josephine neither at Yilin. But I just want you to remember that all of this happened to us. Not to our children."
