I woke up in my bed. 6 year old Alex was jumping up and down excitedly.

"Mummy! Mummy! It's my first day at school" he says shaking me.

I saw my wife next to me sit up a little and look at our son tiredly. Her short brown hair is messy but she still looks so beautiful.

"Alex baby. Its only 5:30 in the morning" she says as her hand rested on his shoulder.

"But mamma I want to go now" he sighed with a pout.

"Alex. Come on. Lie down and cuddle mummy for another half hour at least" I say holding my arms out to him.

He sighed and led down in between me and Regina. I wrapped my arms around my son and kept him close. The sound of a baby crying came from a few rooms down. It was cliff. He was screaming his lungs out. I opened my eyes again and sighed. I can faintly hear jasmine trying to calm him down but nothing stopped.

"Gina your grandchild is awake" I say closing my eyes.

"Its before 6. There yours" she replied in a mumble.

I sat up causing Alex to jump up excitedly. He stood up and off the bed. I stand to my feet and walked out the door Alex just ran out off. I walk down the long hall until I got to the room with the crying child. I opened he door to see jasmine holding cliff on her hip while pouncing him to calm him down.

"Mum he won't stop" she says looking like she wanted to cry.

"Come here" I say holding my arms out to the baby. I took him and held him close. I swayed side to side while bouncing the year old. "It's ok baby. Don't cry" I softly say.

Soon cliff started to calm down until he finally stopped. I sat down on the chair and sat him on my knee while bouncing it to keep him calm.

"Thanks mum. I need to get ready for work. Can you watch him" jasmine asked in the doorway.

"Yeah. Make sure Johnny is watching him today because I have work" I say looking up at her.

"Will do" she replied as she left.

I looked back at Cliff and he was smiling at me with a little giggle.

"And what are you smiling at" I asked with a chuckle.

I looked at the door and saw Regina stood there holding Alex's hand. She smiled at me and waved.

"Morning" she says.

"Morning" I replied softly.

Alex then dragged her off most likely to his room to get ready. I looked back at cliff and smiled at him. I poke my lips out and he copied. I pecked his lips and he smiled.

"Your such a little cutie" I giggled.

I nuzzled his nose and stood up. Jasmine came in and I gave cliff to her. She smiled and hugged me to say thank you. I don't have work for a few hours. I walked back to my room and led down in the bed. As I closed my eyes the door opened. I looked up to see henry and Chris stood there.

"Mum can you drop us to school soon. Mum can't" Chris asked.

"What now" I asked.

"Na about half hour or so" henry replied.

"What about David" I asked referring to the limo driver.

"Adam has him for his date all day" Chris sighed.

"Fine. Be ready and I'll drop you in half hour"

The boys left the room and I closed my eyes again. I'm so tired since me and Regina were up late last night watching a horror movie. As I started drifting off to sleep I felt a dip in the bed. I open an eye to see Regina sat there.

"You should wake up" she says moving some hair behind my ear.

"I'm so fucking tired babe" I say as she led down next to me.

"Me too. Next time we shouldn't stay up late in a school night" she giggled.

I cupped her cheek and kissed her softly. She smiled at me and placed her hand on my cheek. We felt like school kids again. For those few seconds all the stress and all the noise in the house stopped. I leaned back in and kissed her again. This time properly. Another dip was felt in the bed. We pulled away and I looked to see Alex climbing onto the bed. I smiled and sat up to hug him.

"Are you ready for school" I asked as I kissed his little cheek.

"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah" he excitedly says.

I giggled and he hugged me tight. I held him close and ruffled his hair. Regina joined the hug and I wrapped my arm around her and smiled.

"I love you two" I whispered.
