(Alexis)
I'm not an airplane person, you know. It takes you 5 hours to get to New York and I swear that if I didn't have a computer with films on it or my phone full of music, I would not survive. I never understood people who can easily take a nap during the flight, for me it seems impossible. Well, anyway, you can guess that I was very pleased when the flight was over until it hit me that I would see Aaron in less than an hour. An excitement came over my body until another fact hit my brain. I will see my father as well, not that it is a bad thing. I am just really worried how he will react with me. Is he happy that I am coming? Is he angry or annoyed? I haven't actually realized that I haven't asked him in person his opinion about me moving in and living in his house. I actually haven't spoken to him for a long time. Oh, holly crap, now panic is taking over. Breathe, Alexis, he is your father, he can't just cross you out of his life, I thought to myself. Well, if he did, I always have Aaron to help me and to take care of me. I was in a deep thought until I saw my luggage coming in line with a lot of others luggage around them. An elderly man helped me to lift it up and put it on my cart. After thanking the man, I headed to the meeting point anxiously. Alexis, it is now or never, don't you dare to be a coward now. When I got to the exit I was trying to find Aaron or my father in what seemed like a million faces, but they were not anywhere to be seen. That's when I felt I was being lifted up from the floor and two strong hands holding me. My first thought was that I am being kidnapped and I was actually about to scream when I heard a very familiar voice whispering.
“I missed you so freaking much baby sis.” I giggled at Aaron's words. All the worries that were in my head quickly disappeared. I did tell you that I loved my brother, didn't I? He definitely knew how to make me happy.
“Aaron! You scared the hell out of me. I could have hurt you! Argggg! How old are you?” I could have said something more, but I was distracted by his laugh. Why the hell is he laughing?
“You, hurt me? You'd have to be kidding me, baby sis! When was the last time you ate? 5 years ago?” Okay, so, that was it, I was laughing now with him. Let me tell you a few facts about my brother. He is tall, no,“tall” is not an appropriate word here, he is HUGE. He has dark messy hair, big green eyes and a very, like VERY, muscular body. So, in other words, he is hot and all the girls crowd around him wherever he goes. Don't get me wrong, he is not a playboy, he never plays with a girls just for fun. He actually doesn't have any girlfriend because he wants a serious relationship which will last for a long time and it seems as if he can't find any girl with the same ideas.
“I think you exercise too much. How much do you eat? Two horses for every dinner?” I heard him chuckle and smile back. His grey eyes stared at my green ones. If you look at me and my brother, we look a lot alike, both with black hair and light eyes. Only our height is completely different, I am about 5.4 and he is about 6 feet tall. I told you, he is huge.
“Hello, Alexis.” That voice made my worries come back at once. The voice that I haven't heard in such a long time. I slowly turned around to face my dad. He had change since the last time I saw him. What worries me is that he looks older than he actually is. In his dark brown hair I saw some grey ones which don't indicate his age but a stressful life. The dark circles under his eyes showed me that he hasn't slept well now for a while, but even though, his hazel eyes shined with excitement and love. Wait, what? Love? Maybe I am exaggerating.
“Hi, Dad.” I said to him with a small shy smile. Yeah, it was pretty awkward if you ask me, but hope we will find our way to a comfortable way of communicating.
