Draco

Draco had always been a sneaky prat for as long as you can remember. He would hex and jinx you as a joke! Who does that? You were notorious enemies and everyone knew.

He had done so many pranks including things like slime buckets, hair dye, and times we don't want to revisit that you decided to get him back for it all.

You were an excellent transfiguration student and excelled at the art. One of McGonagall's favourite students too. You decided you were going to bring back an old trauma from Draco's past, the ferret incident. You weren't going to turn him into the ferret, no that'd be too simple. You were going to follow him around and make him think he was going crazy by making everything around him turn to look like ferrets.

You ask Harry if you can borrow his invisibility cloak for the day and after you told him you were going to torment Malfoy he was on board and let you use it.

At breakfast, you snuck up behind him at the Slytherin table. He had a nice juicy piece of bacon that he was about to eat so you quickly made it look like a ferret. Malfoy drops his fork and pushes away from the table.

"You okay there mate?" Blaise asks Draco concerned

"Yeah... Yeah I'm fine, just... seeing things..."

He shook it off and kept eating cautiously. You and him had charms first block after breakfast together, so you left early for the class. Flitwick was too busy writing away to notice you come in. You grab your quill and make your way over to Draco's assigned seat. You read over the work sheet that Professor Flitwick laid out before class. You left a cute little drawing of a ferret in the corner of his page and went back to your seat to take out your supplies.

As everyone filled into class, your seating partner, Harry, threw his things next to you followed by Ron and Hermione who sat in the desk next to yours.

"How's the tormenting going?" Harry asks with a smirk

"I'm going for a slow but evil approach to make him think he's going mad." You grin proudly

"Oh yeah? How's that working for you?" Ron asks leaning in.

"Decent. I've already made some of the paintings look like they had ferret faces when he walks by and turn his yummy bacon strip into a fried ferret." You smile with determination.

"Your using ferrets?!" Hermione whisper yells obviously not approving

"Revenge is a dish best served cold and with underlying trauma." You shrug making Harry and Ron snicker

"Just watch what Malloy does the second he glances at that worksheet of his." You say pointing to his paper. He happened to sit it the desk in front of yours and Harry's.

Not long after you say that. The Malfoy heir himself walks in with his followers and takes his seat. You smirk and raise an eyebrow to the group who were watching intensely. He looks down and jumps back a bit before scrunching up the paper and getting a new one from the pile in the front. You and the golden trio are trying your best to hold in laughs but not doing to good.

"Spooked by the thought of having to do actual work there Malfoy?" Harry asks with an evil grin.

"Put a sock in it Potter. I don't want to waste my breath on you." Malfoy says with a scoff

You grab the back of his robe and yank him back closer to you as he was scooting forward.

"Watch the tone Malfoy, where you come from, it might be acceptable to treat people like dirt but here, you're no shit higher than the rest of us." You say giving a fake toothy grin and 'booping' his nose.

He winds his shoulder forwards freeing himself from your grip and scooting forward and trying to regain focus. Class went by so fast with all the fun you were having mocking him.

You did things like this for all of his classes. Torment, Flirting, and utter gut busting laughter from his nervousness. To wrap it up you were going to dump a big bucket of fake ferrets on him. You waited for him to start his prefect rounds around the school and set the bucket up on his path. No, it's not creepy that you know exactly where he's going.

You saw him coming close to the doorway so you drew your wand and levitated the bucket above the archway.

3... 2... 1... DUMP

The ferrets hit Draco perfectly making him jump, scream, and draw his wand all at the same time. You couldn't keep it together and fell over laughing letting the cloak slip off. He comes up to you wand drawn illuminating the halls.

"Y/N?! What the hell thats not funny!" Draco glares

"It was- kinda funny when- YOU SCREAMED LIKE A LITTLE GIRL! BAHAHH!" You say trying to keep it together but failing miserably.

"You don't understand! I've been seeing them all day!" He says with wide eyes in a serious tone.

"Oh I understand! I think I understand more than you at the moment!" You say still rolling on the floor and holding you gut.

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FALUT ISN'T IT?! THIS IS YOUR DOING?!" He says visibly ticked off.

"Revenge really is sweet!" You say picking yourself up off the ground.

He pulls you by your house tie into an empty class as your still laughing to yourself and shuts the door after making sure no one followed or saw you two.

"What kind of joke is this supposed to be?!" He whisper yells to you.

"Payback for all the pranks you pull on me! If you haven't noticed, you do a lot of them!" You say more seriously.

"I NEVER TAKE THEM THIS FAR! Plus you are out after hours I can give you loads of detention for this!!" He is whisper yells while running a hand through his hair

"Really?! Cause the last time I checked, I CANT LIVE MY DAY NORMALLY BECAUSE OF YOU! You ALWAYS do something so embarrassing making people laugh and stare at me!! Trust me when I say people DO NOT just forget the next day... they mock me they tease me and say horrid things to me. You know how many people have told me to kill myself or that some days I wanted to do just that...?" You say tears flooding your eyes and looking away from him.

Draco was staring at you in shock from your story. You thought he would laugh because that's probably what he had wanted but what he did next surprised you, he pulled you in for a hug. He wrapped his arms around your waist and your head had been put in the crook of his neck. Being so full of these emotions you just melted into the hug and began crying.

"I'm so sorry Y/N, I had no idea..." he whisper in your ear. "I never wanted to hurt you or to make you upset." He said softly rubbing circle on you back.

"What did you want then? What did you expect was gonna happen?" You ask still buried in his shoulder.

"Well.. I really j... just wanted you to notice me..." he said pulling away and look down. You had stoped crying.

"W-what? Why?" You said absolutely shocked.

"Because I'm totally into you..." he says with a sweet and genuine smile. Not the typical Malfoy smirk, but a small smile.

You came close to him and wrapped your arms around his next a pulled him into a soft kiss. It was long and gentle with his lips as soft as silk.

"I guess I'm kinda into you too when you aren't being a prat." You say with a soft smirk.

Draco pulls you in for another kiss and you gladly don't refuse. Let's just say this was the end of the prank wars between Y/N and Malfoy... for now

Ugh I love soft Draco. Honestly I feel like he had so much more character development than they showed in the movies compared to the books. Thoughts?
