Ever since halfway through first year, the golden trio has expanded to the golden quartet. You were with Harry, Ron, and Hermione 24/7 and this wasn't a bad thing. Hermione was basically your sister, Harry was the best friend ever to you, and Ron, well let's just say the feeling for him were beyond friendly.

Ron was currently going out with the skank known as Lavender Brown and you weren't quite happy with this. Out of everyone in Hogwarts, her? Lavender had been a hardcore bitch to you and everyone knew that she was fake and would start rumours. Ron knew it too but liked her anyways. You didn't know what to do.

You walk down to breakfast with Harry and Hermione and no Ron because he was already there sitting in a different spot from the usual spot where the friend group would sit. Of course he was sitting with Lavender. You were glaring in their direction unnoticed by everyone except Harry. Hermione went to hand in her scrolls to some of the classes and took yours and Harry's that were complete with her.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Harry asks you with a sad smile

"What ever do you mean Harry? I'm just peachy!" You say somewhat sarcastically somewhat angry

Harry pulls you into a side hug and you just rest your head on his shoulder and sigh. Why couldn't Ron be the one to hug you? Obviously you love Harry but it's a different type.

"I just wish he'd get his head out of his ass." You sigh and Harry looks at you sympathetically.

"It's not your fault Y/N. He doesn't know what he's missing." Harry says pulling away but keeping an arm around your shoulder.

"You're right!" You say excitedly getting an idea.

"I am?" Harry says a bit confused by the sudden burst of confidence.

"I need to show Ron that he's missing out and that I have plenty other people I can date!" You say smugly.

"Heck yea you do! So are you gonna try and move on?" Harry asks. He's known about your crush on his friend for a long time.

"Not quite..." You say with an embarrassed smile. "I need to date someone and make him jealous!"

"Oh Merlin..." Harry says shaking his head. "Who are you gonna fake date?"

You cross your finger together stick out you lip and bat your eye lashes really fast at him.

"No, nope, nope, nope, I am not going to fake date you!" Harry says looking away

"Pweaseeee! You're de only one to make him jwealoussss!" You speak like a child who is begging their parents for candy.

Harry just looks into your sad eyes trying to be serious but ends up breaking in the end.

"Ughhhhh fineee! What's in it for me?" He says with his arms still crossed.

"I'll do your homework for two weeks!" You say with a big grin.

"I'm better than you in loads of subjects!" Harry says rolling his eyes

"I'll get Hermione to do it for two weeks..." You say quietly

"Deal!" Harry says smiling.

You and Harry spend the rest of breakfast setting boundaries and planning ways to introduce your 'relationship' to the school. You decide to say that you had been secretly dating for a month now and NO ONE could know it was fake. Not even Hermione. The first plan of action was to get Harry to sit next to you instead of Ron in charms. Harry was gonna be touchy and snuggly with you whilst calling you pet names in attempt to get Ron's attention.

In charms, Ron was already sat with Lavender hanging off his shoulder like a sloth. Harry put his arm around you waist protectively and walked up to yours and Hermione's usual desk next to where Ron was. Hermione has completed her work ahead of time and was getting even further ahead so she wouldn't be sitting there anyway.
