Adaptation

Chapter 12

Tim's POV

As we drop Addie and Andy off at the movie theatre they hop out and I was going to drive away but Andy said he wanted a word with me so I stayed behind. He turned to Addie and gave her fifty dollars so she can buy the tickets. We watch as she walks away and he turns back to the car and kneels at Ant's open window. He looks at us and says "I was wondering if you can do me a favour if you are not doing anything"? I nod my head and say "yeah sure mate what is it". He says to us "Addie was looking at the new IPhone 6S before and she told me here old one is not too good, do you think you might be able to go and get one for her and get it on a plan. I will pay the bill each month and I will give you the money for it"? I look over at Ant and he says "yeah for sure. I didn't know what movie I wanted to see anyway". He turns to me and says "is that ok babe"? I nod my head and say "yeah for sure". Andy pulls out his credit card and hands it over to me and says "here use this you should be able to pay wave it if not then I will have to give you the cash tomorrow as I don't have enough on me". Ant takes the card from my hands and says "here don't worry about it I will get it and you can pay the bill each month, I was thinking of getting her a new one anyway". Andy takes the card back and nods his head.

Just before he walked away I said just ring me when you have finished and we will come and get you". Andy nods his head and walks into the movie theatre. I look at Ant and say "ok what first, do you maybe want to go home or go for a drive and see if we can see any lookouts"? He looks at me and says "how about we go and get her phone first then we can go and have a look at Point perpendicular and just watch the sunset together". I nod my head and drive off to the nearest mobile phone store.

We walk in when we get there and I have my hand in Ants back pocket as we do. We walk straight up to where the IPhones are and I find a nice gold one but Ant picks out light pink one. I look at them together until a salesman walks up to me and says "can I help you with something"? I look up and say "yes my husband and I are looking for the new IPhone 6s for our daughter". He looks at us and sort of frowns when he looks at Ant and he can see that Ant has his hand on my back. He then says "ok what colour"? I look at Ant and I say "babe what colour do you think she would like"? Ant looks at me and says "get the gold one I know she was looking at the gold one once before when she was looking at phones". I lean down to kiss his lips and say "ok we will take the gold one thank you". He nods his head and goes out the back to get it out. I put my arm around Ant while we wait.

He comes back and says "here you go sir and do you want a sim card with that"? I nod my head and say "yes please post-paid please and I would also like to see the range of plans you have". He nods his and says "please follow me". We follow him over to a table and I pull the chair out for Ant. He sits down and I sit beside him just waiting for the guy to get all the information for me. The salesman finally get all the information and hand me a list of what plans they have. I look it over and put it in between Ant and myself so he can choose as well. Ant points to one and I nod my head and say "yeah that one". I hand it back to the man and show him which one we want and he says "Ok that one also comes with 3 numbers that she can call for free so if you can give me those numbers then I can get it all organised for you". I nod my head and he hands me a pen to write down the number. I first write down mine then Ants then Andy's and hand it back to him.

After about 1 hour we have finally got it all sorted and I hand the man my credit card so I can pay for it until Ant says "babe do you think we should get her a case for it as well"? I nod my head and say "yeah how about you go and pick one as she likes your style better than mine". He nods his head and leans up to kiss my lips and I say "see you when you get back sexy". When Ant goes off to find the case for Addie's phone the salesman seems to think it's an invitation to grab a hold of me and try to crack onto me. I try to remove myself from him but I can't and next thing I know my husband is by my side and he is really cranky. I try to put my arms around Ant but he brushes them off and I say to Ant please babe he came onto me. Ant looks at the guy angrily and then next thing I know Ant is in full on fire cracker mode. He walks up to us and grabs the guy around his neck and he says to the salesman. Stay away from my husband and do not come near him again or I will chop your balls off and feed them to the sharks do you understand me you little good for nothing weasel. The salesman nods his head and hands Ant the bag with the phone and he says you can have the case for free I'm sorry I did that. I didn't think you were married. Ant turns to him and says "we are just both wearing wedding rings and we called each other babe what did you think and my husband also said that we were looking for the phone for our daughter. You jackass". He turns to me and says "let's go home baby I want to ride you before we have to pick up our daughter". I grab his hand and run out to the car.

After we have gotten home and we have run upstairs. We just lay on the bed sweaty and sated when my phone rings and I look at it to see that it's Addie. I answer and say "hey baby girl you ok"? She says to me "yeah we have finished can you maybe come and get us please then can we get some dinner". I say to her that we won't be long. I pull Ant up and say to him "as much as I love seeing you naked you need to get dressed as we need to go get our girl and then get dinner as well". Ant gets up and gets dressed so we can go.

When we pull up to get Addie and Andy I can see that Addie is smiling. They hop in the car and we take off to get dinner which Addie picked was McDonald's. Just before we got out of the car I gave Andy the bag and he hid it in the car.

After we had dinner we went back home and Andy asked Addie to sit in the lounge room. She goes and sits on the lounge and Andy said to her "your fathers and I have a present for you". She has the biggest smile on her face. He hand her the bag and she slowly opens it.
