Your POV

I called Lily after my meeting with Ken to tell her what happened. She keeps congratulating me but it still feels wrong. She decided to come over to celebrate which I agreed and now we're sitting in my living room while Timothy is in our neighbor having a sleepover with his friends.

"Don't you want it?" Lily asked sitting on the couch beside me.

"I did.. but not like this" I said

"Well.. you got it. That's what matters" She said and I sighed as I look at the reporter on the television ranting about something.

"You sighed.. what's wrong?"

"I don't know.. there's this feeling that I can't explain" I said and she nodded.

"You're just not used to the easy way" Lily said and I gave her a look.

"That's what Lauren said" I said and now she's the one giving me a weird look.

"You ended things with her...right?" Lily asked raising an eyebrow at me.

God her brows are thick

"I..uh.. I..we" I stuttered

"Of course you didn't!" Lily exclaimed " If you ended things with her she would've quit her job already and gave you a blackeye"

I gave her an apologetic look but she just rolled her eyes at me.

"I'm sorry okay.. I didn't end things with her because if I did, I won't get laid anymore. And you know picking girls up in a club is not my thing" I said and Lily just slapped my arm.

"What is up with you and your penises getting laid?! Seriously, like can you not wait a couple of weeks before getting laid?" She exclaimed and I just shook my head no.

"We have needs" I said and she groaned.

"Fine.. but don't come crying to me when she beats the shit out of you for playing her" Lily said and I nodded

We decided to watch The Dictator to change the mood and now we're laughing our asses off. We were half way through the movie when my phone buzzed.

I gotta go.. Lily's looking at me funny.

"Is that Lauren?" Lily asked and I shook my head no.

"It's someone I met a few days ago" I said and she smiled while wiggling her thick eyebrows.

"What?" I furrowed my brows but she just shook her head.

"I gotta go now.. I have a wedding shoot tomorrow" Lily said putting the bowl of popcorn on the table.

"Okay.. please lock the door on your way out..Bye Lily" I said and she just waved her hand while walking.

I felt a pang on my chest when she mentioned a girl's name watching a movie with her.
