A Promise

"Marry me"

Hearing those words made Camila stop in her tracks. Her body was hit by mixed emotions while she stare at Y/N's back. She was feeling excited and confused at the same time. She's still not sure if she wants to be married at a young age.

"What?" She asked with her eyes wide with her feet glued on the floor and a can of cola on her right hand.

Y/N turned around with the same expression as her. She didn't even know why she said those words.

"I..I uhh.." Y/N was stammering as she stare at the curious brown orbs staring back at her.

"Y-you want to uhm m-marry me?" Camila asked as she finally move her feet towards Y/N.

"No!" Y/N exclaimed immediately regreting the word when she saw Camila's disappointed look.

"No.. no.. I-I mean uhm yes I uhh want to marry you but not now.. maybe someday. When we're both ready. I mean you just uhh turned 21 and you s-still have so much life ahead of you and I uhmm I want you to enjoy that..But it's still your decision if you want us to be together.. I mean uhm if you want to because I want to.. D-do you want to get married now?" Y/N stammered. She was panicking as she breathes heavily.

"Babe calm down" Camila giggled putting down the drink before grabbing Y/N's hands.

"I don't even know why I said those words" Y/N sighed.

"Are you practicing?" Camila asked and Y/N silently nodded.

"Maybe.."

"Calm down okay.. let's not rush anything. Let's just enjoy this moment." Camila said.

"So it's a no?" Y/N asked and Camila giggled.

"It's too soon babe. We'll get married when the time is right"

"I know.. but I'll marry you. That's a promise" Y/N said and Camila nodded.

"You will.. you're so cute when you're nervous" Camila kissed Y/N's cheek "and the look on your face while you kept talking was hilarious.. but also cute"

"I can't remember everything I said. I blacked out." Y/N joke as she wraps her arms around Camila's waist.

Camila gave Y/N a tight hug and sighed at the feeling of her girlfriend's warmth.

"I have something for you" Y/N pulled away from the hug and picked up the cola Camila brought.

"Uhh that's mine" Camila said

"Hush..." Y/N answered as she removed the soda can tab. "Hope this fits..."

She gently slid the can tab on my pinky finger and I frowned.

"It might not fit on your ring finger so let's use the pinky for tonight, okay? I'll replace it when I had the real ring" Y/N said and I nodded.

"This is not a proposal Camila.. this is a promise" Y/N smiled at me and all I can do is melt under her gaze. She's just so sweet and romantic.

"I promise to be with you and support you at everything that makes you happy. I'll forever listen to your disney theories and problems and hold you until you feel calm and safe. I'll protect you from everything that hurts you or scares you. I'll kick asses for you baby. I'll always be by your side whenever you need me. Even if I have to fly out just to hold you for a minute, I will. I'll do anything for you. I'll always be there to wipe the tears and take the pain away when you're hurting. People say that I'm your knight in shining armor but I'm not. I'm your slave. I'll die for you Camila. And I will do everything just to make you happy.. That's my promise.. I love you so much" Y/N said as she wipes the tears off my face.

"You're so perfect that I'm starting to think that I don't deserve you" I giggled.

"You deserve all the good things in the world baby.. I'm just a bonus" Y/N said.

"And I'm so lucky I have you" I whispered before capturing her lips.

"I love you" I whispered on her lips.
