Heart Failure. Those two words had been echoing in my head for the past two weeks. Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with heart failure. I honestly couldn't believe it. I never thought that this would happen. I know the doctor explained to me that as long as I took my medication that I would be okay, but that didn't suppress my worry. My condition could still worsen and there would be a chance I would need surgery. I didn't want that.

I was no longer able to do physical activities, my diet had to change, and my happiness decreased as well. How could I be happy when I was technically dying? I did my best to cheer up a little, but it was hard. Even when Chase tried to cheer me up, I couldn't. It would take some time before I would feel normal again. If I would feel normal again.

When I woke up in the hospital and saw Chase sitting by my bed, I was relieved. He was the only person I wanted to be with at that moment. He always made me feel safe, and I needed to feel the safeness at that crucial moment of my life.

I was released from the hospital a few days after being admitted, and even when I got home I was bedridden. Being forced to lay down all day wasn't the doctor's orders. They were Chase's. I found it cute that he was basically playing doctor, but I assured him that I wasn't broken. But I think I was trying to convince myself more than him.

Anyway, we were currently on our way down to the new lab. Davenport had finally finished it, and he was excited. Well, excited was an understatement. He looked like a child who had just gotten every gift he had ever wanted on Christmas. He kept chanting 'I got a new lab' over and over, and it was pretty annoying.

"Whoa, whoa." Bree stopped him. "I think you mean we got a new lab."

"Excuse me?" He scoffed. "Did we pay to rebuild it?"

"Do you sleep in a glass box?" She shot back.

Davenport paused before smiling and singing, "We got a new lab. We got a new lab." And for some reason, Chase and Leo started dancing. Davenport spread his arms out. "And here it is."

When the doors slid opened, I was actually in shock. The walls were white, the floor had large hexagon shaped tiles, which actually looked pretty cool. There were three new capsules that stood in the back, and they were definitely bigger than the old ones. Overall, this lab was awesome.

"Guys, look at all these upgrades!" Chase said in awe. "Mr. Davenport, this place is amazing!"

"Of course it is." Davenport laughed. "I designed it."

Leo stared at him. "Ahem."

"Fine!" Davenport exclaimed. "We designed it. We. We."

Leo smirked proudly. Davenport sighed before starting a mini tour. "Upgraded capsules, bam!" He shouted, pointing at the capsules. "Quantum processing super computer, bam! Four dimensional combat simulator, bam! This, my friends, is what a multimillion dollar make over looks like."

Adam grinned. "Is there a mini fridge?"

"No." Davenport replied.

Adam glanced at Chase. "I bet our real dad has a mini fridge."

"Hey, Leo, where's your work station?" Bree asked.

Leo looked at Davenport and grabbed the iPad. "This way, children." He led us over to the center of the room. He pressed a couple of buttons and two hexagon tiles, one on either side of the super computer, dropped down. The popped back up, revealing a brand new work station.

"The floor in the lab is compartmentalized, meaning we can store things in it." He explained. "May I?" He asked Davenport. He nodded. "Bam!"

Suddenly, Chase's head snapped towards another one of the brand new inventions. "Is that a nuclear magnetic resident spectrometer?" He gasped, running over to the device. "I've never seen one in person! It's so beautiful!"
