Second episode of the season! Enjoy! Oh, and you will see Chase’s POV later on in the chapter. I think instead of doing No One’s POV occasionally, I’ll do Chase’s. And I’ll probably be taking a few scenes out of the episode so I can add my own stuff with Alex’s diagnosis.

It had been about a week since Adam, Bree, and Chase returned, and that week had been pretty hectic. Since we didn’t have the lab anymore and they no longer had capsules, they had to sleep upstairs. Bree was in my room, much to Chase’s dismay, and Adam and Chase were in another room.

And I didn’t know what was going on with me, but I was getting dizzy more often, I had difficulty breathing whenever I laid down, and I felt weak. I hadn’t slept in about two days either. But I put on a fake smile and acted like everything was okay in front of everyone. I didn’t want them worrying. They had done enough of that in the past.

Adam and Leo were hovering over Davenport while he tried to fix one of his inventions. It sparked, causing Davenport to retract his hand and wince in pain. “Great! Everything in the lab is officially useless and I don’t have any money to repair it.”

“I know my mom didn’t marry you for your money, but I haven’t been putting up with your antics for nothing.” Leo told him.

Bree walked up to him, Chase following. I stayed seated on the couch since I was too weak to move.

“Mr. Davenport, take your time with your lab.” She told him. “I don’t mind staying in Alex’s room. I mean, it won’t make up living in a basement for sixteen years, but it’s a start.”

“We don’t have time.” Davenport told her. “Your capsules have regenerative capabilities. They’re crucial to your bionic infrastructures.”

“Huh?” Adam asked, confused.

“Let me help you.” Chase told him. “Capsule good!”

“But, I haven’t been in my capsule all week and I feel fine.” Bree said.

“Well, it’s only a matter of time before your bionics go haywire.” Davenport explained.

“Do you know when exactly, because I have a haircut on Tuesday and if I glitch in the chair, I’m just gonna end up looking like that train wreck.” Adam said, gesturing to Chase who glared.

“Look, I get it.” Chase snarled. “I’m short, I look like a lady golfer, and I have a terrible haircut. What else you got?”

“How long do you have?” Adam laughed. Leo and Bree joined in on the laughter while I just shook my head. I would have confronted him, but the room was spinning. It stopped after a moment.

“Look, the longer you go without your capsules, the more likely you’ll glitch. So don’t use your bionics until I get enough money to rebuild the lab.” Davenport told them.

“Uh-oh. I feel a glitch coming on.” Adam announced before punching Chase in the arm.

Chase yelped and rubbed his arm before glaring at Adam. “You know what? I feel one coming on too.” He snapped, shoving Adam off his seat.

He quickly jumped up and pouted. “Hey, it’s not funny when you hurt me. It’s just rude.” He walked off into the other room, the pout still on his face.

Davenport sighed. “We need to have a family meeting. Tasha!” He called. She walked in a moment later. “Family meeting.” He told her. We all moved into the dining room.

“Adam, get back here!” Bree called. “Family meeting!”

He walked in and raised his hand. “Adam, you don’t have to raise your hand to speak.” Davenport told him. “Just talk.”
